That is the trend in the industry...
KodakAlaris has been announcing via Facebook only.
(Mirko from Adox promised to put all kind of announcement on their own site too.)
...ashamed of any of my word. Instead you better consider your words.
I did not say Harman did, but instead I said that from all we know KodakAlaris did. (There even may evolve a legal case for KodakAlaris.)
Harman admitted in 2013 that the base of a certain batch had scratches. The same...
KodakAlaris never sold film they knew to be faulty, just as I am sure Harman doesn't.
We can argue about whether KodakAlaris should have recalled film after they started to see problems that were originally thought to be related to handling, but that is different.
Hi AgX, can you explain to me, simple fellow that I am, how the film is faulty.
I cannot understand why a reaonably inteligent person would suggest that Harman would knowingly sell a faulty product to customers . Are you aware of the history of this firm and its on going comitment to film...
Not all photographers will be happy with that.
From all we know KodakAlaris knowingly let cutomers buy faulty films hoping that not too many turn out bad.
I hope that Harman is sure about such base not effecting the transmissive image in any way, and that this turns out a storm in a glass of...
...50% more employees).
On a global scale, 2018 has already been quite a good year for film sales with significant increase. E.g. both KodakAlaris Germany and Fujifilm Germany reported big backorders for film at Photokina last September. Both together had about 1 million films on backorder...
...sources, working for Kodak in high positions for decades.
And:
At the "Leica Experience Days: Analoge Fotografie" (see the other thread) KodakAlaris Germany was there, too. And they confirmed it.
And, by the way, also official information: Fujifilm is converting/finishing their Instax films...
At KodakAlaris' end, maybe.
But if the result is increased volumes, larger orders by the distributors, more competition between the distributors, larger orders by the retailers from the distributors and more competition between the retailers, not necessarily so.
The KodakAlaris website says, in the label to the exact same datasheet for HC110 - KODAK PROFESSIONAL HC-110 Developer - New Formula, same great results!
Somewhere on a thread that has contemporaneous posts with this one there is a post from someone using the new version in a production...
...be extremely happy to buy Ektachrome for 10$ a roll. But I will gladly pay 12.99$ a roll for it now. At my rate I'm not going to keep kodakalaris in business but I'm doing my part. Shooting slide film for me rounds off to be about 25 rolls a year.
I was shooting fuji slide film before the...
...discussions after my lectures that there was no time left for eating and drinking for me over the two days
- confirmation from KodakAlaris Germany that Ektachrome E100 in 120 is "in preparation" (no official introduction date yet)
- the absolute highlights have been the real slide...
Loads of billboards in Luton where I live, and London where I work. One rather witty one in Luton a couple of years ago was advertising the ad company itself with a huge image of Donald Trump "Look what advertising did for me!" Also electronic billboards including on bus shelters which are...
Matt,
Thanks for posting this. Kodak and KodakAlaris are doing some very good work for us film fans.
Please folks stay focused on the Kodak part of this story. I developed a roll of TMY 2 from my old 1st generation fuji 617 tonight, in XTOL, Kodak chemistry from start to a final couple of...
I hope KodakAlaris is paying attention to youtube. That is where new film photographers are initiated. Some channels are better than others, but new film shooters have a lot to learn about buying a used film camera, how to process, scanning, perhaps printing, and so forth. KodakAlaris might...
Here more about the manufacturer of this 35mm camera:
the Sino Promise Group is the largest agent of the US company, KodakAlaris, in the Greater China region.
The Group serves 8000 Kodak Express (KEX) outlets in the region, and is responsible for the sale and distribution of 10 world branded...
It is not the KodakAlaris but the Kodak logo. Licensed by Kodak.
For about half that price one get a seemingly better new Halina.
I better not think what cameras one can get for that 30$ out of camera stores rummage boxes or at fleamarkets...
KodakAlaris has issued a list of revised catalogue numbers for a large proportion of its black and white product list, which indicates some positive revisions to their minimum order requirements.
They have also listed updated MSDS info for a large proportion of their chemical line - including...
...might simply indicate that KodakAlaris was sourcing it from a supplier other than Tetenal. Low probability, but possible.
Within the last three months I'd considered trying TMAX RS for the curve shape it was documented to produce with some films. I decided not to after discovering that...
...listing: "This item is no longer manufactured."
The catalogue number for the large quantity that they reference isn't even listed anymore on the recently published list of old and new KodakAlaris chemical catalogue number.
I think Freestyle just has some very old stock (of a very good...
Per Freestyle, while one-gallon packaging has been discontinued, the 50-liter version is still available:

6 weeks on and Luton Camera Repairs have run out of Kodak Color Plus again and are low on Gold...the lady I speak with there said they had to order 500 rolls, and their supplier has 30,000 on back order (I think those were the figures). Both this shop and whoever they buy their film from...
