It is not the KodakAlaris but the Kodak logo. Licensed by Kodak.
For about half that price one get a seemingly better new Halina.
I better not think what cameras one can get for that 30$ out of camera stores rummage boxes or at fleamarkets...
KodakAlaris has issued a list of revised catalogue numbers for a large proportion of its black and white product list, which indicates some positive revisions to their minimum order requirements.
They have also listed updated MSDS info for a large proportion of their chemical line - including...
...might simply indicate that KodakAlaris was sourcing it from a supplier other than Tetenal. Low probability, but possible.
Within the last three months I'd considered trying TMAX RS for the curve shape it was documented to produce with some films. I decided not to after discovering that...
...listing: "This item is no longer manufactured."
The catalogue number for the large quantity that they reference isn't even listed anymore on the recently published list of old and new KodakAlaris chemical catalogue number.
I think Freestyle just has some very old stock (of a very good...
Per Freestyle, while one-gallon packaging has been discontinued, the 50-liter version is still available:

6 weeks on and Luton Camera Repairs have run out of Kodak Color Plus again and are low on Gold...the lady I speak with there said they had to order 500 rolls, and their supplier has 30,000 on back order (I think those were the figures). Both this shop and whoever they buy their film from...
I'm not sure that the issues about new MSDS's for HC-110 and T-Max and the new catalogue numbers for so many of the KodakAlaris chemicals necessarily mean that products are all going to be changed.
The minimum quantity rules have been improved and some of the packaging has been changed - each...
I get KodakAlaris chemistry from Unique photo in New Jersey. They ship UPS ground. I checked UPS and as you have found its crazy expensive. KodakAlaris must have a distributor in Hawaii for some if not all of their products, that's who I would call first. I have an old friend who will sell me...
The new formula is unlikely to have come from Kodak's archive, and doesn't appear to emanate from Kodak at all. Appearances suggest that the new Non-HC-110 and Non-T-Max developers are the house formulas of the new manufacturer of Kodak, or rather Non-Kodak, chemistry. This marks a new ,and...
KodakAlaris has recently released a large number of updated MSDS documents which, when compared with the previous versions for HC-110 and T-Max developers show significant changes. This thread discusses the issue: https://www.photrio.com/forum/threads/new-hc-110-formula.169322/
New and improved?
What I find interesting is that KodakAlaris does tout anything improved (at least from a consumer standpoint). All I could find is "New Formula, same great results!" at https://imaging.kodakalaris.com/photographers-photo-printing/resources/chem-tech-info
It is probably a team effort between the manufacturer(s) that KodakAlaris contracts with - who may very well have staff with Eastman Kodak experience - and the remaining technical resource people at KodakAlaris - some of whom may work as consultants.
Carestream's plant - which KodakAlaris may also have an interest in - is used to make Kodak colour photographic paper.
Eastman Kodak manufactures all Kodak films. Still films, both colour and black and white, which KodakAlaris markeys and buys from Eastman Kodak, and motion picture films...
I guess I am not really sure who is in charge of it then. My impression has been that:
Alaris owns the formulas and copyrights
Carestream in Colorado makes b+w films
Eastman Kodak in Rochester makes some films (color films (?))
The old Kodak factory in China maybe makes some films for lomo and...
Based opn recent comments I checked what I bought (March of 2019). It is the Professional HC110, Made in Germany, pretty thick (never used it before so no means to compare), but says it expires 2020-08! Not sure how long Freestyle had it, or if Kodak [Alaris] is just uber-conservative on...
Maybe KodakAlaris will make available the new HC-110 in smaller volume bottles as well, say 300ml. That would hopefully put all concerns about shelf-life to rest. If you have not used up your 300ml in 6-12 months, dump it and buy a new bottle.
...a leasehold interest in that plant. The entity they incorporated to run that business is Carestream.
Ironically, both Eastman Kodak and KodakAlaris now contract with Carestream for product (although KodakAlaris may actually hold a leasehold interest in that plant as well).
The Eastman...
...make another?
and another thing you did not take in account yet is this thing have a very high probability of working as well as any developer. Carestream is kodakalaris quality control, engineering and specialists. i think is just a matter of tweaking to get proper, consistent results for...
