Revisited this small coffee cream pitcher whose shape I really like. I set the focus on the front edge with the lens wide open throwing the rest into a slight soft focus effect.

  6. Comment by 'rmann' in media 'Miners Cabin'

I did not see the "flying man in the clouds" until you pointed it out, now all I see is the figure in the sky. I think you are correct about the foreground being too dark, in a print I would go for lighter tones in the wood siding on the cabin.

    Fuji GX680 Neck Strap

I have learned two things - first, the neck strap for a GX680I or GX680II is different than the strap for a GX680III. It has a metal bracket that will not fit on a GX680III because the knobs are slightly different on the camera body, and its base needs to attach to a Horseman quick release...

    'Coolest' Medium Format Camera?

I really like a recently acquired Fuji GX680III, but I am not using it outside of a studio setting very often. It's built like a tank, weighs a half ton, has a bellows for getting up close, front movements and best of all seems to be dirt cheap currently.

  26. Comment by 'rmann' in media 'Power Plant'

We have never met, but my family members would say your description of my personality is spot on. Part of the reason I like working with large format cameras is the slow pace of image making and I do take my time setting a shot up. Thus, I have a hard time with action situations - when I am...
