...since approximately 2000, and has had no role in the marketing or technical support of those chemicals since the bankruptcy in 2012. Kodak Alaris is also out of the chemicals game since 2020. Most importantly though, almost all of the direct, commercial lab user to film and chemistry...

    D-76 Stock times for Tri-X (400TX)

As Kodak Alaris no longer has any role with respect to D-76, I wouldn't expect to see any update from them with respect to a D-76 datasheet. Of course, with the current Sino Promise situation, it may be the case that no one will ever produce Kodak D-76 anymore. If you look at the contrast index...

OP, what Don has said is true but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for Alaris to do so. The Massive Development Chart lists both the 320 and 400 speed. It has the 320 at 8 mins and the 400 at 6.75 So based on what you have found it looks very much as if the correct time for 400 is 6.75 pentaxuser

I found a 1981 sheet online that says 8 minutes at 20 degrees. So that must be the old time. Alaris needs to update the D76 sheet.

ADOX XT-3 Developer: Further and Final Test Results

Europe: Kodak used to manufacture their Chemistry in France. They closed this facility right before the 2012 bankruptcy if I recall right and moved production to Tetenals. When Sino Promise took over Kodak branded photochemistry in 2019 they moved production away from Tetenal. The result were...

...XTOL brand is simply being licensed to different companies? I have some back stock of Tetenal (pre bankruptcy) made XTOL, still owned by Kodak Alaris, this made in Germany. And XTOL, Kodak Sino Promise, made in the US. I was under the impression that all current production of XTOL was back in...

Any Advice on old &/or new Photo Scanners?

Welcome to Photrio. Have you reached out to "Alaris" - the part of the Kodak business that went as a result of the bankruptcy which is actively involved in document scanning technology. They have been hived off of Kodak Alaris - who market and distribute Kodak photographic still film.

    Fujifilm Bulk Rolls

I don’t believe this is an issue, most bulk rolls have minimal (if any) markings. I know Foma certainly doesn’t. I believe that Ilford has them, however it is little more than frame numbers and “SAFTEY FILM”, not even an ISO. I don’t know if Kodak has edge markings. Honestly seems kind of...

They would have to sell it through Kodak Alaris. And if the current equipment was used, there would be no frame numbers - keycodes instead.

    New look to Kodak Ultramax

it is posible that the package used depends on the Market. I recall year ago when Fuji and Kodak were fighting hard for market share, one of the dealers brought in Grey market film intended for the japanese market. the boxes were FAR more colourful than the North American boxes. {the flap...

    New look to Kodak Ultramax

I almost wrote a reference to the vertical "Kodak" in the K logo, as it is used by EK motion picture but not for the still film as far as I have seen. With that in mind, I am a 120 shooter mostly and it's been a year since I last bought any Kodak film (Portra) so these small changes I am not...

New Koojiak 400 Color film found in the wild

...figure. Eastman Kodak does contract manufacturing for whomever wishes to buy their services, subject to them (EK) having room in their manufacturing capacity. Kodak Alaris have a contract which gives them the right and responsibility to distribute and market Kodak (not Fuji) branded still film.

New Koojiak 400 Color film found in the wild

Well, it's still conceivable that Kodak-produced Fuji film formally goes through Alaris. I don't know what kind of arrangements there may be between the three of them. Maybe @MattKing can comment on this; he's better informed about this than I am.

New Koojiak 400 Color film found in the wild

.../ big sales (Walmart, Meijer, etc) markets, who don't really care, other than they found 400 speed film at their usual store at a 'good price' Kodak (Rochester), on the other hand, can send a lot of film out the door, without having to deal with the Kodak Alaris overhead, hassle, drama, etc.

    Fujifilm Bulk Rolls

Eastman Kodak sells 400 feet rolls of Ektachrome 100, beautiful stuff, similar to Provia. Less than a dollar per foot. That's 1/4th what Kodak Alaris sells the confectioned 36 exp rolls.

It costs a lot to confection the film - cassettes et al!
  21. Kodak price increase

Whow! That's a significant savings; $7/roll versus $22. How do you handle the 400' bulk rolls? I opened a 400' bulk roll once and just ended spooling up canisters over 3-4 sittings. I put the unused film back inits' bag, then in the tin, and then all that into a changing bag. It worked...

thats why I have been shooting the ektachrome E100 movie stock. no special processing required, just plane old E-6. the price per roll of the movie stock, sold by Eastman, makes me wonder how much markup kodak alaris is adding per roll. john

Kodak Plus X- How I Miss This Film

How would you compare Plus-X to Verichrome Pan? Verichrome is a gap in my knowledge of Kodak lore. I've shot it a couple of times and liked it when I did. Would it be a candidate for resurrection by Kodak Alaris?

Kodak Plus X- How I Miss This Film

I think Kodak-Alaris is having a tough time keeping up with demand of their current films. Perhaps once that is sorted, which could take eons...then maybe they can look at bringing back old emulsions. But... I can't see it happening as I think they'd want to stick with what they've got... Tmax...

Not the case in Canada - no such integration. The Eastman Kodak website used to be similarly complex, as is/was the Kodak Alaris site. Where you logged in from determined what you saw.

Kodak Alaris for sale Again April 17 2023

It was the only way the KA pensioners could make money from the EK bankruptcy. If they refused the distributorship, they would have gotten nothing and someone else would have bought the rights to the distributorship from the bankruptcy court. Now it seems KA wants to sell it. They may be...
