Hello, I'm currently dismantling a Voigtlander Vito CD that I got for 1€ that would not fire. At the same time I want to disassemble it completely and clean it thoroughly since I found a lot of sand in it.

The problem that I have now is that I'm stuck removing the film advance lever it won't come off at all. The problem is that there is a pin at the bottom of the camera that I can't get out to remove the spring to continue the disassembly.

This is the pin in question :

The problem is that it is rounded and flat like nothing to grip on to remove it. I try to put a small flat head and pliers underneath to pull it with not success.

I have the repair manual along for a Vito C but it is for now the same as the Vito CD I have. I know that I have to find a way to push it from the other side but it is nowhere to be seen.

Here is the repair manual that points the part (2x4 DIN 1476) :

So is it necessary to remove this piece to remove the film advance lever (I tried pulling the advance lever without success too) ? If it is how to remove it ? If it is not, how to remove the film advance lever ?

Thanks in advance !

According to documentation, DIN1476 is a pin with grooves, presumably stamped to create metal humps on each side of the groove. I suppose it has been force-fit at assembly.

But do you really need to pull it out? Maybe I'm wrong, but it looks like its only function is to hold the arm of the spring that is tucked under its head. Would it be possible to just leave the pin as it is and slide the spring arm from under the head of the pin?

On the assembly diagram that you show the spring is dis-assembled while the pin is still in place.

Well I tried pulling on it and it wouldn't move. But I also tried pushing the pin that is directly holding the film advance lever and i just had to do that 😅
Now I feel dumb, but then the spring doesn't come off at all which make things simpler for after too. Thank you
