I use XTOL, have since it first came out.

Don't stress about this. In interim go crazy try someone else's stuff. XT-3 is weird looking yellow looks like Mountain Dew, no dust, made in Germany 😊

Hi Keith,
Luckily I have some packs of XTOL in stock ( probably about two to three months worth ), and as my ( replenished ) processing line has been fine tuned over decades, I avoid changing developrs !

Good for you to stock pile some.
Hopefully there it will be available again soon before your current Xtol is used up.

I’m a long time user of XTOL. However, I dislike the 5L quantity and as soon as Adox marketed a clone moved to it. I have been using Adox XT-3 with charted XTOL development times and I see no difference. The captura dust technology is a big improvement along with improved mixing.

Those are pretty much my findings also when it comes to using both these developers in a replenished system. No pain at all switching from Xtol to Adox XT-3.

We should all be thankful the full creative power of Eastman Kodak researched and marketed XTOL. The charts they provided in their tech bulletin are deep and detailed. That type of documentation will never happen again. I’m also glad for all the clones as I have used 2 when distribution issues came up.
