I have an M3 that the frame counter has recently quit resetting when I remove the take-up spool. Is this a DIY repair or best left to others? The camera is a double stroke converted to single stroke by Leitz NY 30 years ago. I have owned the camera for 50+ years.

I would consider KEH. It's probably a simple thing, just trying to connect with the right person that doesn't take forever.
 
How do-it-yourself it is depends on how easy this looks:

You''ll notice the spring that resets the counter appears to be inaccessible from above - the winding mechanism needs to be removed. I think I'd let someone else do it.
 
Another possible repair facility would be Youxin Ye. I have had a number of excellent experiences with him.
