These are the shutter curtains on my Pentax KM. Currently there are no pinholes but are these marks going to become a problem? How would I check for them on an SLR? Is it better I get a shutter curtain replaced? Will these become a problem in a couple months to a year? There is some depth on some of the dotted streaks.

Or is this normal Aging and I shouldn't be worrying about them? For some reason, other cameras seem to have super smooth shutter curtains.

If there are no pinholes I wouldn't worry about the curtains. I have many Pentax cameras of the Spotmatic and K-series eras and have never had a problem with shutter curtain pinholes, though some have a distinctly tatty appearance. Replacing the curtains would cost more than the cost of another camera. The seals might require replacing at some point (simple job that you can do yourself) and other than that a quick session with a keyboard vacuum cleaner wouldn't hurt.
Best wishes,
Steve

Oh I see. There are no pinholes right now. The appearance of the curtains caught my attention because I am shooting an important photo Project (and subsequently trying to eliminate all risks of losing photos). Thanks!
