Yes, I use a similar sort of doctor blade for coating paper and films. Works great IMO, just a bit expensive....
But, cry once, and then you'll be set, probably won't break, unlike glass puddle pushers xD

I was interested - until I saw the price!!!

BUT, for anyone interested, there are much better prices and a few in various sizes, available both on eBay UK and dot com. The smallest start at about £/$80, with one that looks similar to the ad above, a 100mm version, at about £ / $150, being close to half the price.
