I just looked at an advert for Eastman MQ developer!
5 Packs of it.
What history does this developer have?
I considered adding the packages to my obscure and obsolete darkroom/film collection.

Have you a photo?

I’d use it like D-76 I think it was included in darkroom kits

You should buy it and write a comical letter to Kodak asking for a refund of your 5 cents adjusted for inflation.

Apparently the 5 cent era was ~1900-1917, but during World War I, Kodak lost access to German-made Metol (MQ is Metol-Quinol), and changed the name to Elon-Quinol. Quinol is hydroquinone.

An eBay listing indicating that it might be 115 years old.

If it works, it might even meet @pentaxuser 's need for longevity!

Sorry I haven't replied before now, Matt but I've been busy counting the "bawbees" I have saved on my "extended life" wetting agent- see the other current thread. Occasionally that guy with the chains disturbs my counting at Christmas and makes the candle flicker 😁

It is all good!

They apparently made some version of this for many years. I've had this for a while with 4 of the original 6 packet sets still in it - cannot seem to find a date on it:
