Let's All Print (or Maybe Scan) One Negative 2026

I have 18 negatives available (135-format, Delta 100). The basic idea is that people sign-up, I mail a negative to each person, and they print it the way they like. Don_ih's post has more detailed information on how it works. Scans of the negative are an option too. I could scan it on a Nikon Cool Scan V. I am flexible on how the finished-print scans are presented.

Please use Photrio's Private Conversation service to let me know your mailing address. I prefer US Postal Service and domestic locations, but exceptions are okay.

Some hints: The negative is easy to print, but there is room for various cropping, enhancement, etc. They were all taken within about 30 seconds, but could be slightly different but not enough to matter. Exposure-wise, they all look the same on a contact sheet.

Great initiative like the previous one! Wishing it great success.

This time around, I feel it would helpful for me if the contact sheet or at least a thumbnail of the scanned positive can be posted in advance to decide to signup. I'm fine if this can be done through PM if making it public is not desirable.

I'm game! Let's do it like this: if at some point, any negatives are left, I'd like to do the real print. But put me on the 'reserve list', so to speak; in principle I'll work with the scan so others get precedence in receiving a negative.

In Jon King's original thread, and Don-ih's, there was some discussion about seeing the photo before sending it. Don_ih said "No, you can't see the negative beforehand.". In the previous one (started by Jon King), there was a strong consensus to not show the negative before sending it, and waiting until everyone had had a chance to print it before showing it. There is an element of surprise with analog photography, so let's stick with the way the last two rounds did it:

1) No showing of the negative before I send it, and also not before everyone's printed it. PM me your address.

2) I'll scan it for people that need a scan, and the mailed negative can be scanned rather than wet printed. I have a Google drive I can upload the scan to, as well as Flicker. I'll scan it at 4000 dpi at 16 bits gray scale, tiff. People can describe what they did and why in the PM message, and I'll pass that on if it's okay with the printer.

3) For now, I'm planning on the print scans being sent to me via PM, and I'll put them together somehow once everyone is done. If there's a better idea please let me know.

A small hint about the picture is that there are no people in it.

Since I won't be printing optically, I'd be more than happy to get a scan.

As of yesterday, two have sent addresses for mailing a negative.

I'll post requests in increments of 5, after which there will be three negatives left.

The file size would be about 42 MB's. I am not sure where to upload it where everyone can access it. I don't mind sending it to various digital clouds. Use a PM to let me know. the link.
