Bet you are glad you aren't still delivering on a route!

Sadly, snow hasn't piled up on the valley floor since that weekend in Feb of 2015. Must be 10 years since I've used snowshoes while photographing valley bottom forest scenes ☹️

Not lost, but mildly disoriented while on a solo mountain run and bushwhacking to link up two trails.

One last anamorphic pinhole paper negative from today. The negative looks way cooler than the positive of this one. Willow forest. Coffee can pinhole camera, pre-flashed adorama VC RC paper, DS-14.

While hiking, noticed this baby hummingbird on the ground which flew out of the nest too soon. Very disorienting for the little fella!

Ok folks- after much deliberation, I've reached a decision. Y'all made it really tough - there were a lot of fantastic images. The winner, by a nose, is Andrew O'Neill with his abandoned coal mine steps. It has an Escher-esque quality to it that makes it hard to tell which is up, which is down, which is left, which is right. The extremely close runner-up was Matt King's tractor tire. Although not the level of abstract I was thinking of, I really like JeffreyG's photo of the woman looking at the pasted poster of a woman. It made me go Hmmm when I saw it, so kudos! Thank you all for participating!

@Andrew O'Neill - you're up on deck for the next contest!

If you look closely, you can see my boot prints. Many of the photos I took at that abandoned mine, have my boot prints in them! 😁

I find myself returning to those steps. It will take me a while to step down and turn back. One step at a time, right? Congratulations, Andrew!
