Hello all,

My name is Will, Im a current Mathematics student here in Mass, and work at my universities photo lab.

Ive always been interested in photography, but after starting my job in a darkroom setting I've gone down the film rabbithole

Currently i own a Minolta X700, Canon Rebel, and my newest acquisition of a medium format Koni-Omega, which im excited to dive into.

I find myself mostly taking pictures of buildings, landscapes, and abstract images.

My current favorite film stock is Ilfords Harman Phoenix line, which im using for my current project.

I hope to connect with more like minded photographers on this forum, and help out when I can.

I'll wish you welcome a second time.

Welcome to the madhouse. I too got my start in a college darkroom, though about a decade ago while I was at WPI out in Worcester.

You shooting original Phoenix or Phoenix II? I'm very partial to the former but not a huge fan of the latter.

Welcome. I also started down the film journey when I was in university. Did not take any photography classes in higher ed but offered a developing/scanning service for a year or two.

Ive tried both, and had the results I personally like the most with Phoenix II. Im definitely looking to try more with the former, just on account to how much cheaper it is comparatively, but its also not in production so there's only so much i can get

I stocked up 🤣 Really like the stuff and it doesn't sound like it's likely to come back.

welcome Will. We'll be with you down that rabbit hole. It's a lot of fun down there. Tell us what you like about Phoenix.

The halation is a big plus for me in certain circumstances, and I really love the way the blues and reds develope with the film, especially on a nice clear sky
