I use my local lab for E-6 and do not know their exact developer.
Same with comment above I have been using a warming filter for my E100 rolls. I am more content with the results with the filter on that not.
Went back under the loupe this time going through the flip side as well and sure enough - scratches on the film.
I suppose now I need to change the way I load and unload film in the dark bag and see if it improves.
Thanks for the insight.
Occasionally some of my 4x5 digital scans would have this issue of small blue streaks showing up across the scanned image. I checked the negatives through a loupe and do not see any scratches so I assume it is a problem with my scanning process.
I am wondering if the forum would have any idea...
I don't use expired film for any of my serious work.
However, occasionally I do come across bargain ones and couldn't resist getting some.
I use them for the more experimental or 'mood' shots.
Expired 4x5 Kodak Portra 400:
I just realised through reading articles about Martin's passing that he released his autobiography 'Utterly Lazy and Inattentive' a few months ago.
Has anyone got their hands on it and is it a worthwhile read?
I have always appreciated Martin injecting humour in his photo work. The photography...
Thanks LLL for sharing and being transparent on the project.
Very excited for this product and not one that I was expecting to see revived in modern times.
I started with an M6TTL and then got an M2 after.
I am so used to the M6 having a slight drag whenever film is latched correctly. Many times I find myself questioning whether I loaded the M2 right as the wind is so smooth, there is no difference to when there is no film loaded.
Thanks, I did not know this.
From my limited knowledge, it seems the "Na2" method is a less expensive formulation and also easier to produce contrast. Are there any other difference to note compared to traditional pt/pd method?
For me it's the lack of Provia.
Comparing the two - Ektachrome does tend to give stronger blue cast. I prefer Provia's more 'neutral' colour.
I suppose it is workable replacement should Fuji just stop coating transparencies.
I have a M6 TTL and also a M6 TTL Millennium that I use extensively.
Features that I enjoy from the TTL that some other Ms might or might not have - large shutter dial, dial turning the 'correct' way and clear led exposure arrows.
And some cons:
No matter what you hear people say online -...
Has anyone had any luck making washi or gampi paper permanently translucent?
Looking for tips and advice from the collective knowledge here before committing to methods.
A lot of good advise given on this thread. Some points I have taken for my next test session:
Play around with negative curve a bit more
Humidify paper by pre-brushing with distilled water
Diluting Na2
I will try to provide an update in a couple of weeks.
