oooh right the Fuji folders have a pretty advanced lens. Wow til of the Certo Super Sport Dolly. Yeah more recently I did learn of the Super Tessar but have none myself.
I have the Certo 6 which is a gorgeous old thing with the old 4 element Tessar (mine was serviced by the great Mr. Certo Six...
It is not C, and much newer, but I do have a CF 100 for sale (not listed here in classifieds). Let me know if you'd be interested, it is not mint sadly and has a prominent knick on the rear (still takes great photos though and the shutter was serviced)
Fascinating, by any chance do you know which lenses are more sensitive to this? Asking more out of curiosity. Will see what I can rig up to try it.
Gotcha, maybe I should pay up for that reveni collimater...or follow one of these online guides for the diy setup
Hello friends, dumb question: Is it okay to pop a lens cell from one Hasselblad lens and pop it into another of the same kind (e.g. the rear cell from one Planar 100 CF swapped with another Planar 100 CF).
Mostly asking in case you have a lens with damaged glass but an excellent shutter and a...
Oh so sorry for late reply. I do actually plan on selling this lens! But it would be as a full 3 lens kit with the Linhof 6x9 (it is a cardinal sing to separate a cammed lens from the body haha). Let me know if youd still be interested otherwise I will list it on the classifieds/eventually ebay...
Apologies for resurrecting this thread, but just in case someone comes digging, I figured I'd share some quick sample photos:

I believe these are on Kentmere 100. (Apologies for the development marks etc)
Oh neat, I did not realize Plaubel had a fast Xenar too. A 180 f/3.5 sounds like it is REALLY PUSHING it haha (especially if you mean the Tele-Xenar). Makes sense that the early to mid 50s once companies had started to recover post war were a great period of lens innovation. Darn those...
Hello!
So today I was at the thrift store and well...picked up a Linhof 23. Not cheap for like 10 bucks sadly but well a Linhof at not ebay prices is usually a fun deal. Sadly it is not the premium Zeiss kit but the budget one, so it comes with a Xenar 105, Tele-Xenar 180 and Angulon 65. Alas...
Good question, I need to figure this out too as I have a IIIf that needs service.
I think Service Camera Pro did Leicas too but they are kind of part time now and won't be taking any orders until April (http://servicecamerapro.com/)
Ah! Yeah I wonder if the issues my Gs-1 bodies have is somewhat similar. Often they (both of them) just blink an led at me and refuse to fire, but then they seem to warm up and there is no problem at all firing. I figured maybe the batteries are just cold, but it is possible that some magnet is...
Haven't tried the teleconverters myself, but I will mention that if bag space isn't an issue, the Gs-1 200/250 are usually very affordable. The 250 is especially cheap (like <$200). I think the 200 is a touch less common (I think it is also 1yr newer?) Having to use 82mm filters for the 200 is a...
ack forgot to check in on this thread, super neat info, thanks everyone! (I may or may not have ordered a beat up Kodak Medalist cause it just seemed so charming...we'll see if it can be made to work...).
ooo neat from what I understand the Welta Weltur Xenar is a case of a tessar design...
I know back in the olden days, 120 folders usually came with either a 3 element lens (Meyer Trioplan, Schneider Radionar, Rodenstock Trinar, Zeiss Novar etc) or a more 'premium' 4 element lens (Schneider Xenar, Zeiss Tessar etc). Do you folk know of any folders that came with 5 element lenses...
