I agree. It's unfortunate that HIE was never made available in 120 rolls. I still has a box of 4143 4"x5" sheets and one IE color IR film in the freezer, they are certainly rotten now, but I don't want to discard them.
Here is one HIE taken in the '70. I loved that tree, now it has been cut down.
I must have been more clear: When I said "If the battery died before", the meaning was that with a dead battery there is only just enough charge left for actioning the mirror but then no more for releasing the shutter. I have seen this exact problem with many cameras, including Nikon and Yashica.
If the battery died before the lever got stock, then that’s it. The battery died, you press the shutter which causes the mirror to go up, then there is no electricity available for activating the electro-magnet that releases the shutter curtains. The shutting process is not terminated so the...
Well, exposing a 3200 ISO film for 8 minutes in broad daylight, through a IR 720 filter, sure, there is a trace of wood effect. With a so long exposure time this may work with any kind of film. I remember trying to expose one frame of a 16mm movie camera set to frame by frame, exposing for 2...

For me, apart from the hobby, photography is only a big money pit. With equipment like Leica and Hasselblad, it's impossible to fill this pit, even if you win the lottery all the time.
The only way to make money with photography would be to be very lucky to find this type of equipment at garage...
Donate them to a Value Village or Salvation Army shop. They accept all kind of merchandise donation and sell them. The Value Village shop near my location often has a lot of these slide trays, even their projectors.
I had this exact same problem with other cameras, but the solution may be the same:
Most likely the shutter hasn't completed its travel because the battery died. It happens that when the battery is too weak, the battery would only work like a small capacitor with just enough power to start the...

Mod. note: this thread was branched off of an announcement about color film here: https://www.photrio.com/forum/threads/reflx-lab-pro-100-in-127-film-format.206192
I just bought 2 rolls of RERA Pan 100S from Downtown Camera in Toronto. This film is not the same as Rera Pan 100 (without the “S”)...
