Is there a good medium format slide cutter out there?

Is it the same model they currently sell? Maybe quality has gone downhill

Is there a good medium format slide cutter out there?

Currently the Matin 35/120 cutter is the only option. I have one and this is my 2nd one. It is fine for 35mm but for 120 it doesn't cut totally straight and the last corner always gets stuck. thought mine was just a dud but I returned for a 2nd one and it is the same... it would be a good design...

Nikon F5 focusing screens - brightest

I have an F3 setup already with the right clear matte viewfinder. I need auto film advance and would like data imprinting in the future for some types of astrophotography (solar and lunar). An F3 with motordrive is big and heavy, and no imprinting back available.

Nikon F5 focusing screens - brightest

Sorry to hear that. Ok that makes more sense I could find a U screen. It also makes my decision harder as I was looking at just getting an F4 instead since I can find a C screen for it, and I still want the mf-28 back for the F5 and I can get an f4 and the equivalent mf-23 back for not much...

Nikon F5 focusing screens - brightest

Looks like it is Type C and Type M screens that don't have the electronic layer with focus marks. I still can't find either of these for the F5. Brightness is less of a concern but I get weird interference and moire with them for astro with the stock screen and I suspect any of the others

Nikon F5 shot counter- will it go up to 50 shots with an overloaded roll of thin film?

Thank you for testing this! Yeah that's kind of what I am thinking. I guess I will experiment with how much I can load in one canister. It sounds like I may be able to get 70+ shots on a roll which would be pretty good. I ordered some new midwest metal canisters to try. I will need to do...

Nikon F5 shot counter- will it go up to 50 shots with an overloaded roll of thin film?

Under other circumstances this could work but may be difficult. I was hoping to avoid having to make a stop to mail things since this will be a quick turnaround trip, and I am returning on a sunday so finding any place open to mail it will be a challenge. On the saturday the day of the eclipse I...

Nikon F5 shot counter- will it go up to 50 shots with an overloaded roll of thin film?

Eliminating the cassette seems like a good idea I didn't think of. Bringing a dark bag is no problem but I'm wondering what to do with the film after and what I can unload it into to bring through TSA security and have them do a hand check without them doing something dumb and ruining it...
