thank you so much ! that was fast.
actually it looks working. Maybe i can compare with audacity method, but i think yours is more accurate.
i'm testing mamiya rb lense, i actually have no idea if the lense should have good shutter speed or not.
i made a first test, based on iso 516 tolerence...
hello!
I'm currently servicing Mamiya RB lenses, and so im trying for the first time the shutter tester with leaf shutter.
I took measurement and from the center of the iris and the edge, there's 14mm. Perhaps in the settings of your shutter tester, the sensor space can't be set under 20mm...
Hey!
I'll try to send him a message.
Yep I saw the 3d printable files for the project box, I will probably try them, or maybe I'll try another box (I scratched it when mounting š¤¦š¼āāļø).
But I was more interested for the laser and sensor parts. And after reflexion, I will do multiple frame for...
Thank's i didn't know about all these SPT journal ! I'll look that.
EDIT: yep i find some curtain travel times for the Canon P and 7 on a SPT journal. It says 14,5-15,5ms. So i think im a little too fast that's why its a mess with all these speeds.
Yes i think that's right.
Hello everyone,
I recently built a simple shutter tester based on an ESP32, and picked up a Canon P on eBay (Japan). Upon testing, I found the shutter speeds were noticeably off.
I have a few questions ā Iāll list them here first, and then go into the context and details further down...
And i was wondering if some of you in this thread have tested this 3d print : https://www.printables.com/model/900945-camera-shutter-tester-for-esp32-case-and-mount/comments
it looks like pretty well designed, but i dont have a 3d printer at home. I have some friends who own one, but i would...
Thank's for the explanation, that's much more clear in my head. We don't find a ton of information about repair and adjusting the Canon P. I've already cleaned some of the mechanisms and lubricated them. I have few other cameras to test but they all have a film inside at the moment ahaha.
Isn't the Sensor 2 which is triggering and not the others ?
Don't worry it's my PDF conversion that messed up the layout. Not from you ;).
I checked, and my sensor are correct, Sensor 1 is on the right while looking at the back of the camera (with laser pointing from the back to the shutter...
hoy!
I took a bit of time because I had to re-order a socket usb C cable because the AliExpress one didn't work.
I listened to Niglyn's advice and aligned the lasers horizontally, not diagonally (I don't have a camera that works with a vertical shutter anyway). I used lego and hot glue to do...
So I just did all the flashing things. Everything worked!
Now I'm trying to make a prototype for the lasers and im using Lego because I saw that in the pdf and thought it was a good idea.
And actually I think it is, because I need to space the laser of 32cm horizontally and 20 vertically, and...
Thanks for the quick response ! yep ill write a bigger post with more details when i have completely finished the project.
and yes, because it was first time doing electronics like this i just followed what you did, so yes i tried to manage the cables as you did, looking at the picture.
And...
heyy, I just finished building the box! I need to build the sensor/laser, light meter and all the external part to the box.
but I think I will already try to install the driver, flashing and these things.
I want to be sure that I can do that before doing and connecting the laser sensor...
hey, i just ordered, I hope, all the items I need on AliExpress. Actually first time working on electronics like this, but I'm really curious.
I'll start trying build this things as soon as I received the orders. I'll post here!
Thank you for this amazing work
