Formulary TD-3 working solution reddish then clear? Tech Pan woes...

I am doing tests on my Tech Pan and 3414 stock (both in 4x5). I used Pyrocat-HD without problems, although had to guess at times. Iirc I used 12 minutes, normalish agitations. Now I am testing out Photographer's Formulary TD-3 as it claims to be made for Tech Pan. I'd like to settle on a...

    Framed with glass, plexi, .125"?

Hello photogs, I'm working on a series this summer in black and white and slowly accruing old frames. I am curious as to what the general consensus is regarding putting them behind the glass or Plexi or not at all. Glass I think kind of finishes It Off. 1/8 in? Does the Plexi seem to work out as...

    Canon 5Dii for DSLR scanning?

Indeed. I set a search in eBay and a whole kit with light box, neg carriers, and stand came up for <$200 shipped. Nobody else even bid. Set the search for a few spellings in case the seller doesn't list it perfectly. Good luck!

    Canon 5Dii for DSLR scanning?

Thanks! I ended up finding a super deal on a Skier set up on ebag. Also ended up getting a great deal on a mint d600. I'll buy the helicoid adapter to mount my 105mm enlarger lens and Bada bing Bada boom🤗

Cascable or Camera connect and control? For iPad as monitor.

Hey folks! I'm looking for opinions on these 2 iPad apps, so that I can use my 10" iPad mounted on a light stand, as an external monitor. I actually don't want or need to be able to store or adjust images, just see them as I shoot. WiFi would be the best but my googling tells me that USB...

    Canon 5Dii for DSLR scanning?

Seller says no oil issues. We'll see. It's a meet in person, not eBay...👍 I'm guessing they used an oil that was a bit thin from the factory, and the shutter flapping around sent micro dots onto the sensor. I'm sure somebody's head rolled. Nikon eventually replaced whole shutter mechanisms...

    Canon 5Dii for DSLR scanning?

Nice. Did some deep googling and have a oil less Nikon d600 lined up for <$300. 24mp and I can use my old Nikkor primes with it if I want to take it off the stand😁 Thanks gents, for confirming my thinking process🙏

    Canon 5Dii for DSLR scanning?

I've been scanning with my daily driver but set up and aligning is a drag every time. I was thinking of picking up a 20mp Digi body and leaving it set up. Was just on eBay and I can get Canon 5Diis all day for <$200. I'm using my extra enlarger lens with a helicoid adapter, so that end is...

Where to find a good used scanner?

Hi porpho, I have a 4990 that I was thinking of putting up on eBay as I'm not using it. I've moved on to DSLR scanning as I shoot 35. Fair price shipped etc. PM me, I guess, a conver etc. I don't want to hijack your thread. Kevin

Sony rx100 too small. What would be an equivalent size larger?

Thank you for the idea, but at that size I may as well go eos. Anyway, the search for the perfect point and shoot continues.

I did! I'm not even a large man. This thing (however brilliant for a pocket cam) is made for small women!
