I think she's great. Incredible eye for composition and colour, and able to use multiple styles of photography to capture the flavour of the street- candid, portrait, self-portrait, abstract, landscape etc
I do like trying to work out how she did some of her shots. The over the shoulder look is...
By contrast, here’s my M5 with the Zeiss 35 2.8 Biogon that more or less lives on the camera.
I’ve not felt the need for anything faster than 2.8; however I tend to use Fuji digitals for colour low light, rather than film.
I'd be all over the Contax G series if the electronics were still reliable/serviceable and/or they were cheaper second hand. I'd be worried about paying over the odds, and then for it to turn into a brick.
As it is the Fuji X100 and X-Pro series approximate that experience, albeit digital.
I went a bought a Fuji X100 series camera, purely as I travel to Amsterdam a fair bit (love that city) and Schipol have the new scanners. Haven't been since Covid, but glad I picked up the Fuji based on the above.

The Nikon FM2 is a more advanced (1/4000s shutter speed, 1/250 flash sync) and compact camera than the Minolta SRT 303b. Because of that the FM2 will be more expensive, and Nikon glass is usually more expensive than Minolta. A closer match between the SRT series in the Nikon world are the...
Which again completely misses the point I was making. Bad photos are bad photos, why does street get singled out in this way ?
I suspect street still confuses a lot of the old timers on here.
Why does Street Photography keep getting picked on in this manner ?
What you describe isn't unique to street, 99.9% of photos taken are crap wether they are landscape, portraits or indeed street.
I could point to the people on youtube who have a large format camera posting mediocre landscape...
I suspect most people will be like me. I’ll give it a go up until I get refused a hand check and my film gets damaged.... and then I’ll be eyeing up a X100 or XPro.
Four pages in and no one has mentioned Lomography 400CN or 800CN yet ? Would seem to tick all your boxes: cheap(er) and has more contrast and saturation than the Portra equivalents.
