So ... I found out the hard way – the spools are not compatible between the regular Hasselblad 70 magazine with cassettes and the 70-100/200 that has the spools without cassettes 😅
The spools for 70-100/200 have different ends, capable of "grabbing" the short rods of the mag and spin on them...
To be fair, even the regular thickness film you can get about 100 exposures with working frame counter and proper spacing on a 70-100/200 back 😜
Everyone doing anything with 70mm should get that status 😅
Sounds intriguing! I ordered a 70 mag, but I have no idea yet what version is it and if...
Ouch! Bummer ... can't find any mention of those spools for 70-100/200 backs except in old catalogues and was hoping that the "usual" spools from 70mm film cassettes would work 😳 how much was that back without spools though?
P.S.: have a fun trip!
Can't imagine why it wouldn't work, maybe...
Would love to have a look at that sheet, was only able to find the 70-100/200 instructions. It makes sense for it to be possible to load more with thinner film though 👌
There was a tiny bit of confusion, since I was wondering if spools from A70 Magazine's cassette fit the 70-100/200 Magazine...
Indeed! So as I suspected the 70/100-200 Magazine won't accept cassettes (or as I called them before cartridges), only spools. All that's left to find out if spools are same for the 70/100-200 back and cassettes for regular 70 back. Thanks!
Interesting! So you're saying the 70-100/200 back will also take the cartridges too? It looks like the mounting points for the spools are thicker compared to the regular 70 back 🙃
I think the spools were a bit different over the years, from different manufacturers and materials ... the width of the spool should be same since the film is also same, I wonder if flange radius is also same as well as mounting points!
Thanks for the info! Those are some nice books you've got :D
Attaching an image of what I was able to find up till this point from different manuals and catalogues 🤓
The regular 70 back was made for the pre-loaded / reloadable cartridges while the 100-200 version of that back could fit up to...
Hi forum members! My first post here, sorry if I mess something up 😅
My question is: does the Hasselblad 70-100/200 back use the same spools as those used inside cartridges for regular 70 backs? Does it also accept cartridges?
Thanks!
