Not a firm answer, but I do know Kodak's 100' reels of 16mm and formerly produced double 8mm film are 'long' to make up for leader & trailer use / burned film. Historically, 16mm film had non-film leaders. Also, the lead film was Kodak's to do with as they please in processing cuts / splices...
I do have a 680-III here in the USA, and I probably should sell it as I don't shoot it much. I'm located in Ohio USA. Don't know if I can meet your condition standards or not, but I guess I could always send pics and let you decide. I may not have a prism finder. I'll have to look.
Found me some goodies. Nikor Tank & Reels. Just need to 3d print a cap for the lid.
One reel is a bit worse than the others, but I think it can be salvaged.
If I could just figure out how to get one down to 65mm. But they look pretty solidly built.
Great idea! Are you planning on releasing a jobo 1500 compatible reel? You know, if you went nuts and expanded it out to the 2500 tank, it might hold close to the 15' on a 70mm film cassette....
They're huge.
Very big.
They tell me they are very large ... the heaviest reels.
Good to see UPS didn't run over them with a forklift.
Those had to be big money in the day, and I'm sure they're hard to find anymore.
Have fun with them...
I shoot 70mm & 65mm, but I don't think I want to...
Film4eva- I'm the moron that modded my 70mm back. It does not affect shooting 'normal' still photo 70mm film. There's just enough slop that you can file outer edge of the sprocket teeth juuuuuuust a bit to get 65mm to run through it. (65mm sprockets are set a bit further inside the film than...
More for curiosity, what do you think of the glass lens? I have a Lomo 6x12 with the standard lenses. Just wonder if one of those would be worth finding.
Ok. Good to see you eliminated that possibility. Glass lightbulbs are not always friendly to environments with liquids.
I was in Czechia for vacation last summer. Drove in by bus, and got to see Chesky Krumlov and Prague. Very beautiful cities, towns and countryside. I'd like to go back...
Sorry I tried to help. Maybe I'll avoid that in the future.
But sometimes people don't always have years of experience or someone to help that grew up with this stuff. You see that a lot on reddit. It can be a goofy place, but it's where people are. Turns out, you put a blue daylight-ish bulb...
Just a guess here... I wonder if the color cast is due to the LED bulb for reexposure. Depending on the bulb, if it is not a high CRI, it may have 'holes' in the spectrum, and may not be re-exposing all the colors evenly / enough. People often post on reddit why their RA4 darkroom prints are...
