A lot depends on how you travel. If you are taking road trips in an automobile, and you never get more than a mile or two a few kilometers from your car, then you have the luxury of being able to "carry" a solid tripod. The same goes for traveling by boat.
But if you are taking public...
I like the GROK AI color rendition better than some other attempts in this thread. However, the AI did not just "correct colors and enhance details" -- it also distorted or invented some details. Notice the sign in the background which can be read on the original as "ATTENTION" got garbled into...
Another way to look at it:
If the lab moves the black point too far to the right on the histogram, then some shadow detail will get clipped off. It is probably better if they leave a little room, and let the photographer decide where to draw the line between deep blacks and faint shadow details...
The word "info" covers a lot of ground. Are you more interested in dating the photos, technical information about what cameras and film might have been used, monetary value, or...?
Actually "info" might not be the best word to use here, because based only on what you have posted, it will be...
When you say "the blacks look washed out" do you mean the black part of the negative (the highlights, when inverted)? -- Or do you mean the black part of the inverted positive (the shadows), such as seen in the photo of the cat?

But "opposite" on which color wheel?
Way back as a young man, I learned in art class that the three primary colors are blue, red, and yellow, and the secondary colors are purple, orange, and green. On that color wheel, blue is opposite to orange.
Later I discovered there is another color...

As I recall, the filter threads on my loaner C220 with an 80mm lens was 46mm. But with a 46mm-to-49mm step-up ring. I was able to use my 49mm filters on that camera.
The only filters I ever used with that camera were yellow or orange, but I was shooting mostly out of doors, and never portraits...
