This is great photography, the entire "The Hot Waters" series! Any plans to turn this into a book or zine or a nice presentation on the internet? That would be superb!
I have one for sale now, but due to the size and weight shipping is not an option, location is in The Netherlands. Should anyone be interested:

When shooting outdoors, to remove objects that obstruct the view:
1. A chain saw - to remove trees
2. Dynamite - to remove buildings
3. Kalasjnikov - no need to explain
Without any scientific / statistical evidence, just observing this and other forums for many years....
European photographers use mostly 35mm and medium format, very few use 4x5", hardly any use larger then 4x5", while many American photographers are really fond of 8x10",
Hardly anyone in Europe...
I'd stay home.
"If you cannot make great photo's in or around your house, you cannot make great photo's anywhere" (don't know who said this but it is oh so true)
I'm traveling Sri Lanka and India next month and I'm still in doubt whether or not to take a camera with me. If I decide to do, it...
I had one (actually... two, one for use, one for spare parts). The unique benefit of the v35 is that it will autofocus up to 20*24" on the baseboard. The 40mm f/2.8 lens is excellent. But.... the build quality is poor, with plastic and sheet metal that tends to get rusty. The light mixing box is...
That is adjusted by inserting a pin in the right hole in the column:
- the lower hole matches the baseboard, without an easel,
- the upper hole matches the baseboard with a 25mm thick easel (Leitz, Dunco, RRB.....)
For an easel with a different thickness one will need to find a DIY solution...
The specs of the lamp holder are irrelevant, except the type/size. The lamp holder is a very simple thing, when it fits, it works. I replaced a lamp holder some time ago in one of my Ilford 500H heads; just make sure it has the right size.
The head must be powered through the original Ilford...
I had the same experience: the V35 needs much longer exposure times than e.g. a Focomat 1c. This was the main reason for me to switch back from the V35 to a 1c. Apart from this, the build quality of the 1c and the ease-of-use are much better in my opinion. The one big advantage of the V35 for me...
Wetting agents (PhotoFlo or Agepon) may cause trouble when using film spirals that slide the film in from the outside, like Paterson or Jobo. A residu may stick to the spiral that will block the film from sliding in. Thorough washing afterwards helps to avoid this. I always use HP Combina tanks...
Foma 320 is not a universal film but it's great for (studio) portraits. The extended red sensitivity camouflages skin irregularities (just like Rolle Retro and Superpan), it's a film with built-in make-up. The overall softness of the film is also helpful.
The RRB easel works perfectly fine for me. Lucky to buy one for that price? Maybe, but patience saves lots of money. If you want to buy one immediately you'll pay a fortune; if you patiently wait and watch Marktplaats (or similar sites, not eBay) daily, sooner or later you'll run into a good...
I too keep coming back to Ilford MGFBWT glossy - air dried. I tried many different papers over the past 10 years but for me nothing beats Ilford.
In "the old days" my favorite was Agfa Record Rapid; I still have a quite large stock but it is nowadays only useable for Lith printing, due to...
