    Slide film shooting and hopelessness

Yes Ivo I ask because I shoot digital and for me it's fine for printing (hey, it's still paper after all) but slide projections are in a different league, they have a different materiality.. from what I have seen so far !

    Slide film shooting and hopelessness

Thank you all for this interesting discussion. Were you able to test recent 4K projectors with good blacks for photo projection ? I know they cost much more than slide projectors and are bigger and less transportable, but I wonder if photos could look good or "as good as" slide projection...

    Polaroid Pro Palette 8000 experience?

Thank you Koraks. Are the transformers easy to replace and do you think it is wise to buy one recorder and then another one when it surfaces for spares ? In other words, are they repairable by electronicians when you have spare parts ? How much would you pay for a used one considering the «...

    Polaroid Pro Palette 8000 experience?

Hello all, After almost 30 years, are Palette 8000 recorders still reliable ? Former messages talk of burnt CRTs.. Have you noticed other hardware issues ? In other words and considering the lack of spare parts and service, do you think it is a good idea to buy one now and how much would you...

How to correct slides color cast when projecting or developing

Thank you all for the answers. Although I may try fine-tuning the calibration of my pictures for this particular recorder in the future, I have found that adding Lee magenta gels in the path between the bulb and the slide of the projector solves the problem to my liking. I may try kodak gels...

How to correct slides color cast when projecting or developing

I may try putting a filter in the recorder itself though I am not sure I can open it and do that safely. In the software (raster), i selected E100 film that I used to record mainly photos shot outdoors. I have not seen a specific setting for indoor/outdoor but I will look into that. The...

    Calibrating a CRT film recorder

Hello all Following this thread where I asked how to "post-correct" slides with a yellow cast produced with a film recorder, I thought I would post a new thread regarding the calibration of film recorders. I use a lasergraphics personnal LFR plus. Is anybody here familiar with this CRT recorder...

How to correct slides color cast when projecting or developing

Ok I understand Do you know the difference between Kodak colour compensating filters, which seem to be hard to find and expensive in France and "regular" gel filters (Lee CTB filters for instance), which seem to be easier to find ..? https://leefilters.com/colour/201-full-c-t-blue/ I have made...

How to correct slides color cast when projecting or developing

Thank you wiltw, those filters are still manufactured apparently : https://www.kodak.com/en/motion/page/wratten-2-filters/ Do you think I could insert them in front of the projectors lens to avoid having to re-mount each slide ?

How to correct slides color cast when projecting or developing

Hello, This is my first post on the forum. Thank you for the great advice found in other posts ! I have recorded digital photos on Kodak E100 using a digital film recorder (CRT) and developed the slides in E6. They look good but have a yellow cast to them. How can I fix that ? The files were...
