Could this be a real direct positive emulsion?

Thanks for these! Two were new to me and made me realize that I can't reproduce such emulsions in my little lab.

Does anyone know these old sheet films? :-)

Thanks for the filter curve @koraks ! If no one can share recent hands-on experience, I'd go with the POTA in total darkness and an exposure test, starting my wedges at 0.8 ISO

ADDING: The Wratten safelight series 3 should be green, right? Can I use the usual green filters here?

Does anyone know these old sheet films? :-)

I've google around for a while on these films, but couldn't find any useful info for processing them nowadays... The POTA formula seems to be an easy and smart solution! I've used Rodinal with a little MQ Borax at stand development for an old Fuji Super HR microfilm some years ago with...

Could this be a real direct positive emulsion?

My lab is pretty rudimentary compared to a "real lab", that's true. I'm still in the beginning of plates, but have the minimums around. I can control heat, stirring, coating, light, pump speed, ventilation. Coating rods and a blade, syringe pump, magnetic stirrer with temp control, heating...

Hey fellow BW fans ✌️ I've stored these films for some time and want to fool around with them now. Instead of wasting test material, I'd like to ask you for info and/or practical experience. Worst case would be to waste some stripes for exposure and developement tests. Thanks and best light...

Could this be a real direct positive emulsion?

BTW: @Lachlan Young seems like I'm blind...can't find that easy summary from Ron about direct positive 🙈

Could this be a real direct positive emulsion?

Thanks for your thoughts on that, folks! @Lachlan Young I'll work with full mask, appropriate gloves and ventilation. Hope that's enough 😅 This will be my last try to get a direct pos emulsion...after that I'm going back to reversing @Ivo Stunga I'm still not sure where my incosistencies...

Could this be a real direct positive emulsion?

I saw some posts from Ron about that...but he was far beyond my skills. I don't even understand what he did without thinking about 🤣 The formula I found in this patent just looked to me like something I'd be able to reproduce in my home lab. Ammonia and thiourea as a fogging agent sounds...

Could this be a real direct positive emulsion?

Just thought about noodling and washing this emulsion? Usually I do that, but don't know if it's good here...

Could this be a real direct positive emulsion?

I have the usual 24.9% ammonia here. I'm not a real chemist, just fooling around with recipes since some years. But I totally know that this try will involve my full mask plus vent 😆 I guess/hope that this formula is calling for that concentrated ammonia. I'm looking for a direct positive...

Could this be a real direct positive emulsion?

Hey folks, long time no see (and no light to my emulsions) 😅 Yesterday I stumbled across a patent (attached) I was wondering if that could be a working direct positive emulsion finally? Any thoughts from theory, or better practice? I miss three chemicals, so I can't test it right now... On...

EUROPE & INTERNATIONAL: who's still interested in buying fresh BW photo glass plates?

Are you sure about that @Peter Schrager ? In this case I guess the US market is not interesting for me or fellows..shipping would be so much from Germany.

EUROPE & INTERNATIONAL: who's still interested in buying fresh BW photo glass plates?

    Hey @jacaquarie Good to know you still have some 😅 5x7 on the shortlist! BTW: 5x7 inches would make 12.7 x 17.8 cm...would your camera/holder accept 13 x 18 cm, too? Around 5.1 x 7.08 inches...

EUROPE & INTERNATIONAL: who's still interested in buying fresh BW photo glass plates?

BTW: I've heard some whispering that glass in 2mm thickness doesn't fit all cameras/plate holders...do you guys think it's interchangeable with 1.5mm thick glass for all cameras?
