    Mamiya C220 B/W photography. Filters?

Back to the question about which filters to bring along on a b&w shoot. I usually carry yellow, orange, and red filters, and sometimes a neutral density if I want a long exposure (like to blur water in a river or waterfall) or a polarizer if I want to cut reflections in glass or in water. I use...

    Kodak Graphic Arts Film Question

Hi all, I stumbled across this unopened box of Kodak Graphic Arts PMT receiver film AD. I thought it might be fun to try it in the 8x10 camera as a direct positive material. I have 2 questions: 1. Besides looking for the dull side, are there any edge notches to indicate the emulsion side on...

    Mamiya TLR lens question

Thanks, Brian - I have done that before - works well. I have found old fashioned India Ink works very well too, and is perhaps a little more long lived. The lens shade is absolutely a must with or without pecks! Best, Paul

    Mamiya TLR lens question

HI Dan, Yeah, this is most definitely a peck and few lighter scratches, digs, or indentations. They are tiny as you can see, so I agree, I don't think they will make much of a difference either. I have a few really nice older lenses with bubbles - such as an all manual black Zeiss Biotar in...

    Mamiya TLR lens question

HI all, Thanks so much for your insightful and rapid replies. I am definitely inclined to follow the consensus here that a conservative approach is the best option here. I have not tested the lens in a strong backlight condition or with a full sun in the photo yet, but otherwise have seen no...

    Mamiya TLR lens question

I have a late model (not blue dot) 55mm f/4.5 lens for the Mamiya C220/330 TLR. The front element of the taking lens has a small peck in the front lens. The front element of the viewing lens is in better shape. Has anyone here ever tried exchanging elements from the viewing lens to the taking...

Beseler 45A Head on Beseler CB-7 Enlarger?

Hi Grayscale, I'm not sure if you retrofit Beseler 45 components on a CB7. However, here is a link to the CB-7 brochure: http://www.jollinger.com/photo/cam-coll/manuals/enlargers/beseler/Beseler_CB-7%20Brochure.pdf If an adapter exists, there is a good chance that this company can help you...

Is upgrading to a faster Rolleiflex a good decision? Or keep it the way it is?

I have/use a Planar 3.5F. Love it. I have also used (but never owned) a 2.8F. I also loved that experience. I could not spot any major difference between the images taken with the two cameras. I have heard, but I CANNOT confirm with personal experience, that the 2.8F Planars MAY be more...
