About Me

knoxself.jpgI began my romance with photography in 1967 at the age of ten with a Polaroid Model 125. The path soon led to 35mm film--and onwards to medium and large format platforms. Over the decades I have enjoyed photography as both a leisure pursuit and profession--working primarily in the educational, studio, event & architectural documentation genres.

Although digital has now taken over my image workflow, I still 'tinker around' occasionally with older silver gear and processes.

I tend to gravitate toward capturing elements of the manmade world & vernacular architecture, and the interaction of people engaged in everyday life. My wife Donna & I live and work in the Finger Lakes Region of New York State with a number of four-legged creatures, in an old house that eats money.

My current working kit is built around a FujiFilm X-T5. Then there is the basement filled with old film and darkroom stuff to rustle around in!

I also publish the FotoFora.net photographic community (click here) --an independent offshoot of the classic pre-2016 PhotoNet experience.
