Thanks as aways to the efforts you put in George. I anticipate that I will be ready with a new darkroom in a new country in a new state since I last participated. I'll no longer be sending cards from Mi USA but rather SA Australia. I've got myself a dark room, just need to have it plumbed up...
Brilliant work @chromemax .
I’m going to try this too as I used to process a lot of c41 as reversal. I‘m in the process of building a new darkroom because I have a new home, and as soon as I can I’ll try the Harmon Phoenix and the ORWO NC films Processed this way.
My family decided on Adelaide as our city to return to. I’ve so many more leads for potential job opportunities here than elsewhere and we’ll be so much closer to where my father and son live.
This has been a very interesting thread. Makes me think of all the English I had to relearn when I moved to the USA a decade ago. I can’t help but smile. Now that I just have days left before returning to Oz I’m now deliberately having to relearn my old language and this has helped.
But per...
Rec’d a postcard from Hkbenji. One of my new favorite cards. I also completed printing my cards and took them all to the post office this morning. They are now on their way to you.
I have taken a day off work, sent the family away for the weekend and taken tomorrow off work. I will be in the darkroom printing the postcards very soon and I will be able to at the latest take the cards to the post office no later than Monday.
Thanks for everyone's patience.
Here we go. I miscounted for my last post, I have 13 cards to report on not 7. In no particular order.
mfohl - "Looking Up". I like the image full tones from white to black.
Wayne Frederick - "The Portland Observatory". Great story on the observatory. I'll need to add it to the bucket list...
Two more postcards have come in from this round making a total of 18 cards, that I had mixed in with my PCX #56 bundle of cards. bedrof - "Hosta river, Sochi Natural Reserve". Love the reflections. HKbenji - "Hiking Twin Peaks in Hong Kong". Great choice of paper stock and a very dreamy image.
Hi everyone. I've managed to get a few mins to send this update. I've received 7 cards from this round and I have yet to print my pictures for round 56 for which I apologise. Work and life has gotten in the way of being able to spend time in the dark room. Spending a lot of time on the road...
Postcard 16 arrived from Mattis - "Zollern II/IV". I think this is the perfect choice of paper for this photo. It appears both ghostly and overpowering at the same time. I like that the light is behind the tower. Thanks Mattis.
Card 15 arrived today. Based on jvo's description it came from Howard Simmons "lighted cross on open field", very sharp picture and I like the outlines of the trees in the distance.
