I tried repair an accordion years ago with shellac glue to attach leather flap valves to reed plates. If I remember right the method was to dissolve shellac flakes in denatured alcohol/ methylated spirits and then, in a small metal tray (I was using an airgun pellet lid I had more for the lead...
Alot of electronic cameras suffer systematic failures. Sticky magnets and melting rubber bumpers are common - along with the occasional electrolytic capacitor fault, cracked solder joints, and bleeding/ fading LCDs. Not to mention drifting meters and misaligned focusing systems. Trying to find...
It clearly has a hot air attachment, you're being disingenuous and antagonistic. Butane powered hot air guns are a common tool in electronics work as they're small, portable, heat up quickly, and don't run flat in storage. I still use a Weller Pyropen attachment on occasion since, more than...
Little update. The sticky magnet problem resurfaced a few months ago, with the aperture sticking and not releasing with the preview lever but freeing up after shooting a frame. The time it freed up for went from days to minutes over about a month of occasional use.
Opened the camera back up...
It's pioneering work, keeping the hobby alive and all that, provided for free. No, not free, provided at great expense in your own time and money. Unfortunately you got a little clunky in your wording so we're going to have to send you to the courts to stand for your crimes.
The Minox 110s, designed and manufactured by Balda in 110 format, also has parallax compensation with its rangefinder. It might be my favorite camera just for its nice details, like the way the gap in the red style line changes with set aperture to indicate depth of field.
There's 13 "N" sized cells, which are officially 30.2mm long and 12mm diameter, although there's probably a tolerance along with a difference in length between flat top and button top ones.
Again the 2/3AAA cells are much cheaper and easier to find and their capacity exceeds the original 40...
Thanks!
The cells I got are Sanik branded 400mAh 2/3AAA NiMH ones. They're slightly narrower than the original N sized cells, but higher capacity due to improved battery technology after 40 years - even if they're only half of the claimed capacity. There might be other sized cells that'll fit...
How do the serial numbers of the two cameras compare? Like, I wonder if that was an earlier or later revision. It feels like it'd be earlier. But man there really is no way to clean that from outside.
I like it for the reassurance it actually hit focus, and keeping track of I or the subject moved and it drifted. But I do have an M42 adapter and a couple of the usual Soviet M42 lenses to go with it.
Checking the flange focal distances, seems Minolta A is 44.5mm and Praktica M42 is 45.46mm...
Was starting to fuss too much, like to the point i'd be fine risking ruining it just so I can move on and not spend a week pacing about and feeling increasingly intimidated by the job.
Warm soapy water, warm tap water, and distilled water. I got real into slushees last summer and kept the cups...
Yeah, that's what i'm thinking. Although starting with dish soap cuz the only glass cleaner i've got is straight up ammonia. I'll probably do a trial run on one of the many screens i've got that're already damaged. I'm scared to touch the surface at all since it might flatten out the tops of...
Ahahah... God damn it!!!
Now I gotta figure out how you clean these things. Any rubbing might cause scratches, so maybe dipping it in alcohol and then distilled water?
