Hi
I discovered that my 110mm lens, which has a max aperture of 5.6, will show the aperture blades at 5.6. In the attached images one can see the lens when the shutter is cocked. The second image is when activating DOF leaver at 5.6. None of my other Kowa Six lenses show the aperture blades at...
That is true, but I have not had it outside for half a year so it has been toasty in 21C indoors. I'll have a look at the camera. I also need to replace the lightseals around where the mirror ends up getting debris from the old seals.
Hi
I noticed that my first Kowa Six is quite a bit slower to move the mirror away when pressing the shutter compared to the one I have fixed recently. I guess some CLA would fix that, but then I was thinking, does it matter? Is the lens triggered before the mirror is out of the way? It is a...
I see. Thanks all
I thought that if I had a fixed light source and pointed the incident meter towards it, it would read the same as if I use a 1° spot meter at the same light. But I guess that depends on how the meter reads.
I'll try to compare digital camera to the spotmeter reading the...
Hi
I have a Minolta Spotmeter F. I recently bought a Sekonic Litemaster L-478DR. Now that I can meter with both, I notice that my Spotmeter seems to underexpose one stop or there abouts compared the the Sekonic and digital cameras. It has a small adjustment regulator in the battery compartment...
Here are photos. The framestopper is working (last photo). The problem is that nothing prevents rotation clockwise, which messes up the advancement. I also got a problem, that a part of the spring broke (the loose one in the photos) so I have to find a replacement as it won't wind the mechanism...
I will do this. I see that the photos I have taken are not good enough to see the wheels properly. I will take new pictures when I'm back and can open up the camera again.
I thought I had fixed it, but alas. I notice that I can turn the winder the wrong way. If I do so by mistake, then the winding gets out of order and won't stop at the next frame.
Does anybody here have photos of the winder (inside?). I'm trying to figure out what is missing.
Yes, I only notice the discrepancy between my two cameras with the same lens and distance. One agreeing with the laser and the other always going further.. I'll test with a roll of film though.
I will test with film the coming week. The reason I think the mount was fiddles with is that it lacked the normal shims and had some plastic in stead. The plate also does not align like on my other camera. When I tried to remove the shims, I noticed that closing mechanisme got stuck. So I think...
Hi
I noticed that my second Kowa Six focuses differently than my working Kowa Six camera. When looking at the lens barrell it is focusing at 0.75m while I measure with a laser it is 0.68m to the object. My working camera focuses atound the 0.68m mark.
I expect it is the mount that has been...
