Yeah, the picture faded overnight, but no big deal — as long as the atoms get lined up right, it can be fixed.

Under the light I stood at my cyanotype enlarger for maybe 10 minutes (probably even less) and watched the image slowly come to life — what an amazing feeling!
You might actually end up killing cyanotype with this process. Respect!

Thanks a lot for clearing that up! I definitely misunderstood how it works — I’ll give it another try.
I guess I was thinking too much in “silver halide + D76” terms and assumed CuCl would behave the same way.
As for toning, I think that for an alternative photographic process to really stand...
Interesting results, but I got stuck at the very first step.
I mixed fructose + CuSO₄ + NaCl, but the solution was blue, so it seems no reduction happened.
Unsurprisingly, when I tested it further with my UV enlarger (which I normally use for cyanotype enlargements), I got no image at all...
