Oh, about the structure of the lens, there are the schematic of the lens on the internet and also other zuiko are build the same way. The name ring screw inside the filter screw, so I know fornsure how should unscrew, is just that it doesn't move at all, feels glued.
I've tried with friction too but not luck at all. For the state of the lens in general, plus the state of some of the screws and the oil on the mount, I think this lens has lived many things... so probably something a bit more aggressive like wd40 can have better luck
yes, I've tried and doesn't move at all. On the 50mm on first try already moved
ok, i will try a bit of wd40!
is actually very hard to see, there ive found the perfect angle to show it with the light reflecting. But is my first time cleaning some fungus so I can not tell by experience. I'll...
I am packing for my christmas holidays at home. Is about 2 xrays in airports and 2 on trains (in spain they always xray everything). Should be fine for my fomapan 400 bulk loaded rolls? or should I ask for hand check? the airports are Berlin-Madrid, which as far as I know, are still X-Ray
It feels like glued, also other screws from rear element were quite strong... The lens front element has some small fungus I want to clean, but it seems impossible to open. I have open an 50mm 1.8 zuiko with 0 problems.
I have tried letting isopropylic a few minutes, but no luck. Should I try...
nice to hear!! I've got a couple of eos 650 very cheap, tl have the first generation in my collection, and they do work. Let's see in a couple of decades đź‘€
My very first camera and first contact with photography is an eos 300 (2004), i am afraid that day will come and I will lost my first camera forever :( but so far I still shoot some rolls per year with no issue.
If it breaks, I think i will spend any money needed to fix it 🤣 yes, you can get...
oh, space on the fridge is also a very valuable asset for me that makes bulk loading better. Is either keeping 18 rolls or having to travel more often to the store, which both things annoys me quite a lot. So that's a plus for bulk loading.
depends on the brand, for example you save more bulk loading already cheap FP400 than HP5... I think is a brand decision, I dont belive for ilford costs 130€ to sell you 30m of hp5. But for whatever reason they prefer to force you to buy rolls directly from them.
In long term, every euro...
a canon eos 300, 2004. I was probably the last generation of photographers that started with analog. By that time only the teacher had a digital camera. I still use it from time to time, but this year I've got an olympus om1n and also canon eos 50 and 30 and well, I prefer all those 3 over my...
