I used the Ilford magenta/yellow dual filter (constant exposure) method with a couple different Beseler dichroic 4x5 heads over the years works great.
You know this method allows you to change contrast pretty much effortlessly

I remember Tollen's reagent from chemistry that would yield a silver mirror from aldehydes. Not permanent. Modern is some sort of metal vapor applied in a vacuum. IIRC

Tang, ick!! 😄 I remember trying it out in the 60's, it was horrible. The fuel cells on Apollo created water by combining hydrogen and oxygen. Thus Tang was an attempt to make the water more yummy. 🙄

Going to be careful about enormous file sizes. I remember some of my grandparents snaps that were contact prints 8 exposure b&w , deckle edges, in a little booklet. You could tear out one to share.
Maybe limit it to say 6 smaller files. Make it like the old days.
