That's literally exactly what I'm doing. The 3 reel patterson tank (3 reels 135 or 2 reels of 120). Takes 500ml per reel of 120 so that's what I put in, even if I'm only doing one or two rolls of 135, I fill it to the top.
Half empty bottle sitting there for 10 minutes doesn't mean a thing.
I hate accordion bottles. When they leak in storage they suck air IN... that's the opposite of good.
I use a 2L brown bottle. I do like Matt, I fill my 3 roll tank whether I have 1, 2, or 3 reels in there, so the brown bottle will be half empty.
While it's going, I fill my replenishment...
Datasheet is only for Rotary development in replenished.
Small tank is only for 1:1 and full strength in those datasheets. This is where it gets confusing for people. That said, I've been using 1:1 times for non-rotary small tank and hoping for the best.
You aren't kidding. Not like there aren't a gazillion K mount lenses out there!
I've got too many cameras, else I'd get it just because it's so much camera for so little.
These are my preference. Matt encouraged me and I almost never use my Patterson reels anymore unless I'm doing several batches or as spacers when I'm only doing one or two reels in my 3 reel tank.
There's nothing wrong with the patterson reels, BTW. I just preferred the ones with the fat flange...
I agree with Matt.
And, just for argument's sake, HP5 is about as versatile as it gets. I shoot it at 1600 all the time and like the results at 800 just as much as at 400. It is the ultimate in flexibility for me, and way cheaper than delta 3200.
I love Delta 3200, BTW. Had great results with...
ic-racer already got it. Understand it is a minor limitation. VERY minor.
It is a limitation, though, as I might decide spur of the moment to shoot 1600 if something starts happening in the evening and I want to take pictures, or 400 if it's daylight. Having to pre-choose the ISO that's dx...
I have a GX680 system and the barcodes are really nice.
Not that it matters much, the 680 reads off the film plane and beeps at you when your exposure isn't what it thinks is right, so mostly it feels like it's taunting me for not being able to read a meter. I've had jobs like that. You know...
+1. I haven't been shooting 120 much of late, but I just shot a roll of NS160 and was reminded of that.
And good call on the Acros. I'd forgotten that Ilford finished it for them.
I could ask my lab to give me a bunch of spools, or raid the bag of reloadables my buddy got from the local...
Just for grins, I cracked open an Ilford Delta3200 cassette, and an Across II, just to look at the spools. Both have the one-hole-in-the-middle style, not the two hole like that reflx lab punch.
I don't have any other empty Fuji cassettes, I don't do my own color developing, so I can't even...
You said! You'll get your use out of them.
Alas, my reloadable cassettes are either the soviet metal cans or Kodak snap caps, so I can't use the fuji-style end punch. They have the wrong kind of spools. I still think they look like a helpful gadget.
@mshchem
Yeah, you're not kidding. $200...
Have you seen the price of the ablon template things on ebay? They're twice what they were 18 months ago. 3d printed are $50. I'm glad I spent the $20 on my template when I did because -- well, the only thing I don't like about the IIIf is film loading and the template made that simpler for me...
What trimmers are those and where did you find them?
I am using an ablon style template for my barnack and just cut the end off at about 45 degrees for everything else, but I still think it's cool that proper tools are out there.
