    Konica FT-1 Repair Question

I agree with the FT-1 not really worth repairing. The T2's and T3's are generally fairly reliable, but they have their problems, too. Surprisingly, the TC's I have had and still have have been the most reliable of all the Konica bodies. I have never had one malfunction, other than meter dying, I...

    Arbus Retrospective Draws Criticism

Um...it's There once was a man from Nantucket. And I do know the whole, but won't say it here with such fine philosophers, though I think Monty Python would add most of you to the list.

Postcard Exchange Round 67 Comments and Feedback

I had to look back through my pile @Daniela , unfortunately, I did not receive your card. I always look forward to yours as it is always very nicely printed!

Why do some scanners want the base side down? Epson 3170

If you use the Better Scanning holders with the AN glass inserts, you pretty much have to scan emulsion down and reverse the image in post, as the AN glass sits on the base side to flatten the negative out. As Korak's said, it makes no difference other than you get sharper scans (marginally)...

What is your last photography related re-purchase?

I have to say, mine is kind of mundane, and I haven't yet repurchased, but I'm actively looking. A few years ago I gave away my Olympus XZ-1 digital to a forum member who really needed it. Boy, I really miss that little camera. Just enough zoom range to be useful, a fantastic lens, and super...

    Lurker comes into the light.

Welcome from a fellow Michigander who hasn't lived in Michigan for 20+ years. I really need to get back up there and visit some friends and family and take some more pics. I'm from Battle Creek, originally. And as you can see from my profile pic, a rabid Red Wings fan.

Scored 10 Rolls of APX 25...What to use it on?

Thanks for the replies. I also still have a few rolls of APX 100 left in the freezer, will use those similarly. Pan F is a good film, but nothing like APX 25, it's death left a big hole as far as I'm concerned, I haven't gotten too excited about any other films, though I do shoot a fair amount...

Scored 10 Rolls of APX 25...What to use it on?

I recently acquired 10 rolls of Agfa APX 25 35mm. I used 1/2 of one to test, it developed perfectly in Rodinal with no visible speed change or fogging. Just as beautiful as I remembered it. It is expiry date 2005, so definitely towards the end of production. My problem now is...what do I use...

Mystery bulk roll of film - cine sprockets, no rebate?

Could be any of a number of films as mentioned, but this film looks a lot like Polypan F, which was on polyester. I'll have to check the sprocket holes on some of mine from way back to see if it was cin sprockets.

    Low contrast developer for P30

Same as @thinkbrown , except with HC110 or Rodinal 1:50. Both with gentle agitation. I've NEVER seen some of the high contrast some people post about. I only shoot at 50, and have nothing but praise for this film. I just wish it was available in 100' rolls.
