Even thick plasticard isn't dense enough to block light, it'll glow if you try to make a lightbox out of it (ask me how I found out :-))
If you really want to use your 5x4 camera as an enlarger the Intrepid kit is quite good, once you count in the timer, color control (multigrade printing!)...
Looks very similar conceptually to the Rollei electronic shutter system, but less horrifyingly expensive.
Hope they do a Copal1 or even 3 sized shutter, I'd love a electronically triggered shutter for use in my 5x4 macro setup.
I read through the german thread, main take aways that jup this went through Greiner, and the target market is Asia and the US. Supposedly some buyers are just collectors.
And the a lot of verbal gymnastics, you aren't missing much.
I think the Kang Rinpoche came out also in 2018 or 2019. I guess those Sironar's where for Linhof? As they still listed those on their official pricelist (at eye-watering prices)
Intrepid however have announced they are in the prototype stage of a 150mm f/4.5 with a shutter, as detailed here...
I have the 80mm f/2. Tt's a nice lens but noticably softer then the Zeiss 80 2.8, and ofcourse it's quite chubby (although smaller then the 50/2.8 or 180/2.8), and it's focus ring turn is somewhat too long and annoyingly takes other filters then the 2.8 wide and tele.
It's not really a general...
Also note that only the 6008AF and Integral2 support cable-less operation.
Your other option is a Hasselblad Ixpress CF back, for which they made Rollei adapters. There was a CF39 in Rollei mount on Ebay Germany last year, and i'm somewhat annoyed i didn't end up bidding for it.
I fear that...
I have both a Berlebach Report 833 and a Leofoto Ranger LS-365CEX and use them with my ShenHao 5x4, Rollei 6008, Panasonic S1 with a 150-600mm and macrophotography setup.
The Berlebach and Leofoto are fairly comparable in intended use, they can support heavy loads, have no center column but do...
It results in a faster working aperture, better working distance higher resolving power then trying to for example push my 90mm Super-Angulon or 125mm Fujinon to the same level of magnification.
Bought a Linos branded enlarger lens new recently and it came in a plain white box with a small sticker stating the model and some barcode.
For what is nowadays an industrial equipment provider whose products are going to be integrated into complete machine vision products i fully understand...
I've had good results with reverse mounting a 80mm APO-Rodagon-N in front of a Fujinon 180mm f/5.6, it requires the main lens to be focused slightly ahead of its infinity position to completely cover the 5x4 negative.
The Fujinon is left wide open and the Rodagon is stepped down 2 stops, the...
For the price the 75 shift goes for...and considering it's not actually that wide or allows that much shift.
Wouldn't a budget 5x4 with a 6x7 roll film holder be a alternative to consider?
