Kodak Aero Ektar 6" f/2.5 questions

My specimen of the 6"/2.5 A.E. has aperture stops from 2.5 - 28 and a mounting thread (don't remember if there is a flange, and as at present stowed away in the attic can provide no picture). Not yet got around to testing it.

Has no one ever made an external view/rangefinder combo?

I suppose there's a reason you have mounted the rangefinder on the underside (with the tripod mount); perhaps there's a flip-up okular for the frame-finder on the upper side, that makes it impractical to mount the Blik on the upside of the camera? Nice camera, by the way, and lens. If this is...

what waS your last photography related purchase?

A Minolta MD Macro 50mm 3,5 at a flea market for abt. 20$; especially helpful as I already own the 1:1 adapter from a close-out sale a few years ago.

    Novar135mm f6.8 curious question

My first 9x12 plate camera (more than half a century hence!) was a lever-focused Volta with 135mm Novar. This Novar (sorry, I don't remember the f.nr.) was definitely a triplet, and although the camera was quite shabby it was really a fine picture taker. Triplets are often quite good, I seem to...

Has anyone used the German single-element teleconverters

Have used a couple of these lenses (in the Zeiss variant called Distar-lenses), but regret I cannot now say precisely how much sharpness declines towards the edges. But edge-sharpness definitively suffers. However there is one curious effect of using a Distar with a suitable (uncoated) Tessar...

Problem mounting PA-Curtagon- R on Leicaflex (standard)

Probably the Leica Flex body? Foto/c recently had a very defective body (not displayed). However a few months later they had an apparently identical body displayed, priced abt. 1000 dkk.

At last, the 1928 show. Ihagee Zweiverschluss Duplex 9x12

Your Eurynar 18cm 6,8 cannot possibly have separation, as it's a 4-separate-lens configuration. I own the exact came lens, and seem to remember it's quite easy to take apart for cleaning. By-the-way in my opinion a very nice lens, sharp but not too sharp (on 4x5").

A Polaroid SX-70 PolaSonic Mod.2 at a local street sale, for 15 $. Not pretty, but working!

Idle curiosity about "exotic" medium format telephoto lenses

I always wanted the M, but newer saw it around.

    What Are Your GOAT Cameras?

    Rangefinders: my well-used Leica M4-P with 35mm Summaron and 90mm Tele-Elmarit. SLR: a Nikon FG with 50mm E-series 1,8 (for light-weight convenience - especially the 2-stop contre-jour button!)

Idle curiosity about "exotic" medium format telephoto lenses

Of course I've had only one specimen of each, and thus have to surmise I had run into bad samples. Both bought used at dealer. But as I've played with hardware for half a century I don't hardly think I've done sloppy testing.🙂

Idle curiosity about "exotic" medium format telephoto lenses

I once owned the Kowa 250/5,6 but never managed to make a sharp neg. with it. Likewise I once owned the Mamiya Pres 250/5, coupled, but the coupling didn't really work, not accurate enough, and when ground glass focused the picture was only sharp in the right half of the frame.

What is this Bronica part please?

Thanks, koraks - spot on. I certainly meant no offence! But perhaps I've read too many PerryMason mysteries?

What is this Bronica part please?

Can you provide proof of it in fact being a Bronica thing?
