Encouraging signs of life for Aura! This was in my inbox from Sep 23. I must have signed up for a distro list some time ago. What we learn - they’re working with Tetanal in some capacity (French distributor?) - Jobo will be their official distributor for Germany, Austria and Switzerland...

This project looks very promising. Did you make further updates? The ecosystem of reliable, higher end scanners is in need of a new, maintained entrant!

And if you prefer - running Nikon Scan on Windows XP (free on archive.org) in a virtual machine (using Oracle VirtualBox, for instance) also works on a PC. I do this in Linux.

I use VMWare in Ubuntu to run a Windows XP VM. On WinXP, I installed Nikon Scan. I connect my Coolscan 5000 via USB. It works well!

These are tough to find. I regularly looked at searchcraigslist.com and Facebook Marketplace (looking across the US). Ultimately found one 1000 miles away and had a mover who was tagging on extra items pick it up. Took some patience and luck. Good luck to you,
