Most EOS cameras do not have connectors for DX length reading, only for film speed. My 30V/7s shoots until film is at the end (load on the motor drive gets too high) or until 36 frames have been shot.
I have experienced when I rolled one bulk roll poorly and the camera started rewinding before...
Canon EOS 7s, bulk rolled Kodak Ektachrome 100D/5294 developed with Bellini E-6 six bath kit using Jobo tank in a water bath rotating manually as the tank floats. 1st dev 6:00, 38°C. First time doing E-6. Results seem a bit on the dense side, but the colours look great, no unevenness observed...
Regarding chemistry, wouldn't that be an opportunity for ADOX (or whoever) to scale up production to fill the possible gap in market and maybe even synthesise some of the chemicals for redundancy?
At the moment sourcing raw chemicals from China is cheaper, but from my experience, the quality...
APS was designed to do this, I don't think there was a specific method to prevent scratches. Poorly cleaned and maintained equipment is definitely higher risk than properly maintained cameras with multiple rewound cycles.
All depends on the camera, but so far with my Canon, I have seen no...
I have done this several times with my Canon EOS 7s. Custom function allows to leave the leader out of the cartridge. Mark the number of exposure on the cartridge that the camera showed. When reloading, advance the film to the exact frame number that was written on the cartridge with the lens...
I have used 7s/Elan 7ne/30V for almost three years now and for me there is one feature missing, which is spot metering. On other cases, the camera is surprisingly quiet, may be one of the quietest motor drive cameras, is light, can take Eneloops with battery grip (have lasted more than 25 films...
Agat 18k, Ilford Delta 400 exposed at EI 800, developed in Microphen 1+1 for 15:30 at 20 °C, Microphen stock mixed about 4 months ago.
This combination works surprisingly well, enabling to use it for interior locations if lighting is decent, nice for casual pics. Also when carefully loaded and...
Flashes can experience high currents during charging. I measured over 8A peak on my Canon 430EX III-RT with Eneloops. In the manual it is stated, that lithium batteries have the risk of overheating. Probably may happen if several consecutive full power flashes are used.
So I've just developed a roll of HR-50 with BH perforations. Results are not as bad as I feared, but still visible. On total I got 34 frames and had no overlapping frames. I also reviewed CineStill films I shot and so far overlapping frames appeared once in total of three rolls.
It seems to me...
Thanks!
Sorry for getting a bit off-topic here, but to clarify, I have so far used exactly 60 films over 2 years with Canon EOS 30V, two of them CineStill 800T and only then have seen erratic behaviour, which is several overlapping frames and in some cases 3-5 perforations long gaps between...
I would like to inform, that I have had experience with Canon EOS 30V not being able to correctly space frames with BH perforations. I don't know if it is a malfunction of this specific camera model or unit or maybe the IR sensor that counts the perforations is only useable with standard still...
