    Zone VI Modified Meters

I have nothing to add about the differences between Zone VI modified vs. unmodified meters but I sure would love to get my hands on those fancy saddle leather cases

What is a good, cheap handheld exposure meter ?

Regarding the use of zinc air batteries to replace the old mercury type batteries, here is an article from a 1995 issue of Popular Photography. They found less than a one third of a stop difference whether Mercury batteries, Wein Cell batteries or off the shelf Zinc Air batteries were used in a...

    Old Cameras in Old Movies

How about old cameras in new movies? A Mamiya C220 plays a prominent part in the movie 'Camera' (2024).

    Rollei 135mm 400[asa] infrared

This was on Rollei Infrared, but 120 format in a Bronica S2. I just developed it in old fashioned D-76. I don't remember the developing time, but I used the time indicated on the film box. The image itself was hand metered using an ASA of 6 with a generic 720nm filter.

Cable release adapter for the Lomo Belair X 6-12

Note that there are two versions. One for the all black plastic City Slicker, and one for the leather and metal Jetsetter. They are different sizes apparently.

Cable release adapter for the Lomo Belair X 6-12

I don't know if this has been mentioned before but there is a guy selling a 3D printed cable release adapter for the Lomo Belair cameras. I just received mine and it works like a charm. He also 3D prints a filter adapter for the plastic lenses that come with the camera. Here's a link to the Etsy...

Help with infrared focussing please :)

As others have mentioned, modern 'Infrared' film is not the same as the true infrared film that was available in the past. Don't worry too much about focus. The photo attached was taken with a Bronica S2 on Rollei Infrared and a generic 720nm filter. I hand metered using an ASA/ISO of 6. I don't...

what waS your last photography related purchase?

I never thought in a million years I would do it, but I bought a Holga. A Holga Wide Pinhole camera to be exact. I have seen some very interesting photos taken with these lo-fi cameras so I thought I'd give it a try. The velcro is to attach filters (a yellow filter in the pic. I use a 58mm to...

    Alternative to PX625 battery

I have several of these that I use with 675 zinc-air hearing aid batteries: https://www.paulbg.com/Nikon_F_meter_batteries.htm It might seem like a lot of money for a 'washer' but they are a perfect fit. I use them in a Luna Pro light meter, a Luna Six 3 light meter, a Pen FT camera and a...

    Thoughts on Ilford Delta 100

Delta 100 is currently $2.50 more per roll than Tmax 100 in 120 format at B&H (although you can only buy Kodak 120 film in batches of 5). Reason enough for me to shoot Tmax. One of the reasons I shot Ilford in the past was because it was cheaper than Kodak. I never thought I'd see Kodak film...
  13. Sally Mann Photographs Removed from Texas Museum Exhibition after Outcry

Since I have not read every response to this long thread, forgive me if this has already been mentioned but Sally Mann addresses previous controversies with the photographs of her children in the documentaries; What Remains: The Life and Work of Sally Mann, and Blood Ties: The Life and Work of...
