One filter setup to rule them all? Color neutral ND filters?

Hi, for neutral ND filters I can recommand those from the Hoya ProND line. Neutral means for me not introducing any change in color balance when checked by a Gossen Colormaster 3f. Most nd filters introduce a greenish color cast like a build in CC10G, some are magentrish, even made by good...

New video, of film maker in Ukraine. He makes emulsion film.

Great video by Ari. I like his work very much anyway... Stunning how the 120 film base is coated that way!

Blank negatives - can Rodinal go from fine to non-working in a week?

Yes, at some point the developer turns from low sulfite to (quasi) no sulfite to degraded p-aminophenol. Step by step done by oxygen... Get a fresh bottle. Sorry for your lost images.

    Rolleiflex 6006 - opinions please.

Hi, thank you for the thoughts. I only have the f/2.8 80mm Planar, but sometimes use the 17mm extension ring. The golden contacts of lens, camera and battery have been cleaned, I'll check the 17mm ring and camera next. Last cla was in 1995 at Rollei Fototechnic, maybe it's time again... Jens

If I enjoy the Leica M3 should I just "sell everything" and get a MP?

Hi, if you have to "sell everything" to replace a working camera you enjoy, don't do it. If money wasn't a thing and you lust for todays Apo/Asph. lenses on a contemporary (new) M body, ok...

    New Ilford Large Format Film?

Nice. Portrait studios used that 117 surface a lot... The difference is BW being grade 1 (W=weich=soft) and BS grade 2 (S=spezial=between soft and normal).

Hi, just out of curiosity, is it BS 117 ("seidenraster")?

    Rolleiflex 6006 - opinions please.

Hi, mine (SLX mod. 2) sometimes refuses to fire the shutter, or stops after lifting the mirror. Only happens if the camera wasn't used for half a year or longer. After some "blind" exposures everything is fine. Battery is good, btw.

How to check Rolleiflex film plane focus, when the tripod mount is part of the back (that's removed)?

Yes, that's how I do it. Camera on a glass table in the garden, free view to some trees 2 km away. As distance is that much, I don't care if the camera moves a tiny bit. First I focus in the image plane (by ground glass and a loupe, as you say), then the finder lens is corrected/adjusted without...

    A bit of wisdom.

Scored 10 Rolls of APX 25...What to use it on?

It's spring, a Hasselblad and some APX25 in 120 at hands... perfect. Yes, just do it.

Scored 10 Rolls of APX 25...What to use it on?

None exists. It was unique. Next is imo TMX 100. Sure PanF+ is a great film if the scene is not too contrasty... Otherwise exposing it EI 25 and a bath in Pyrocat helps taming the contrast / highlights. I still wonder, how I could get great results from 135 APX 25 @ EI 50 (!) developed in...
