Thank you. It looks like my fondness for manual lenses with aperature dials will benefit me. Cheap extension tubes should work fine, but I will need to spend a lot more if I want to open the aperature on my kit lens. The sony will have the same problem. None of those alpha lenses have aperature...

Too freaking fast. I was trying to photograph a swarm of birds that were circling near a bridge just a few days ago. After a good ten minutes I moved on. When I go to look at that memory card I will be surprised if I caught a single bird/rocket. The chicks undoubtedly came from eggs.

Hi Alan. I agree, this is a beautiful area. I remember that there was a camera shop downtown many years ago. Now there are just a few cameras for sale at Walmart, Best Buy, Target, Office Depot, etc.. Is there any place to rent photography equipment that you are aware of?

That documentary sounds interesting. I saw a movie about a photographer in apartheid south africa recently. I remembered thinking that apart from Patrick Lancaster there aren't any people doing that kind of journalism now.
