    Middle chunk out of focus

The entire lamp and the left side of the table is blurred really. It’s odd because it’s in line with the pillow, which is in focus. I guess the swing mostly focused the right side of the table but strange that it doesn’t affect the pillow.

    Middle chunk out of focus

Lol I want everything to be in focus. I’m greedy. I kept reading that you “focus on the far, tilt to the near” or maybe it’s the other way round.

    Middle chunk out of focus

Bear with me as a beginner. I shot this bedroom with a Sinar F1, 210mm lens. The room is 12 feet deep and I had my back against the wall almost. I think I focused on the pillow and front tilted for the fur in the foreground, back tilted for the perspective, then a little front swing to get the...

    What is this vignetting?

Yes it was an open packet. In fact there was no packet, just a couple of cards encasing the film. What's b+f?

    What is this vignetting?

See the concave border all around the image? Is it fogging? This is 4x5 Tmax 400 expired by 8 years. Found it in my closet and decided to get back into photography. I shot it on a view camera with 210mm lens, had to raise the back standard up pretty high to get everything in frame, thought that...

(Unicolor C-41 kit) Are my negatives coming out right?

I got this result with colorperfect plugin and color variations tool. Either the dress was too purple or the skin was too yellow. I'm not precise with my temperature and my results have been pretty good (judge for yourself on my flickr). I fill a stockpot with steaming hot water and put my...

    spots on 120 film only

So would that be constant inversion during the whole development? Would I need to shorten the time?

    spots on 120 film only

I tried whacking it. Still getting the damned spots. Maybe I wasn't whacking it hard enough. But I wonder why this never occurs with 35mm film.

    spots on 120 film only

Yes I use the final rinse last. I do squeegee it with my fingers but that's never caused any spots on my 35mm film.

    spots on 120 film only

If it were drying marks wouldn't I be able to wipe them off? They're inherently in the picture as if I had photographed UFOs. It's 25% vinegar. I'm thinking it has something to do with there being more room in the tank when developing 1 reel of 120 as opposed to 2 reels of 35mm which fills up...

    spots on 120 film only

I keep getting these spots on my Portra 120 negatives usually in the sky or scenes that have big white areas. But some sky shots on the same roll are clear. They're definitely there in the negative, it's not something I can scrape off. It never happens with 35mm Portra though. I develop them in...

    emulsion rubbed off film

I did the taco method several years ago and nothing was rubbed off.

No it was there before I hung it up to dry.

    emulsion rubbed off film

Today I developed 4x5 Portra using the taco method in a Paterson tank with Flexicolor chemistry and the corners on 2 of the sheets are rubbed off. This happened with the previous roll of film. That roll was from a camera that had been dropped in the mud so I assumed that's what had caused it...

    what film format was 3"x3"?

That's neat. What did these machines look like? Did roller transport exist back then?
