I ruined the Olympus ∞ Stylus that I bought yesterday, while attempting to fix it. While removing the outer shell, to glue back the loose front bezel, one of my screwdriver made a short circuit between the flash capacitor and something else which fried at least 2 semiconductors. Serve me well...
False alarm, it's a parts camera. I think it shorted, when I removed the front cover to re-glue the bezel that had peeled off... Oh well, at least it was only 2 bucks.

Earlier today, I snagged this little Olympus ∞ Stylus at charity bazaar for 2$. It has a few flaws that need to be fixed but it's all there, and it appears to be in working order.
I couldn't fix the light bent because the foot is on there so tight that I couldn't unscrew it without risking bending the tube. So, the fully extended days of this tripod are over. However, it still can be safely be used up to the 3rd extension tube which more than enough. I guess these were...
I straightened a crooked lug on one of the legs of my new-old Tripod. Fortunately, it's made of brass and so was easy to bend back into shape with a propane torch and light persuasion.
I snagged this old tripod at the thrift store for 5$. One of the internal extension tubes has a light kink, which I should be able to fix, but it doesn't really matter as I'll use this one as a table top tripod. It weighs about 1 lb, is mostly made of brass & aluminum, and measures 25CM when...

Inside the mirror box, there's a slot which gives access to a hole that goes through the mount. Using a small curved pick and a reasonable level of...
It's been a while since I've done colour developing but, usually, I filter the developer with a coffee filter before processing a roll. A few weeks back, I purchased an old Paterson Photo Filter System which will what I'll use next time I process a roll.
Here's the instructions I used, years ago.
I had to relubricate the helicoid and focus ring because they were so difficult to rotate that it hurt my fingers. The inner helicoid is easy, you remove the back, a few bits, and you can unscrew the unit from the front. Just make sure to note where...
Once more, had to disassemble my CZJ tessar 50mm f/2.8 because oil had migrated on the aperture blades guide ring. It has become a yearly tradition.
I also brought back to life my old ASUS 24in monitor by replacing 3 bad capacitors on its power supply unit. 29 cents a piece + shipping *thumbs up
I've started to disassemble the Auto-Yashinon-DS 50mm f/1.7 that I purchased yesterday. This is such a model of practicality; Unscrew the filter ring, the front element retainer ring, and the front element, then just pull the whole rear element/aperture assembly for servicing.
Note: I fixed the...
