Did some reading, and remembering. This flash is GN60 at 200mm zoom setting, which is not needed for the lens in the TL70+. At 50mm setting I see GN of 39. Plug into a calc and get 13.4 meters at iso800 and f8 at full power. Need to build a chart down through the power settings. Also a wrinkle...
I had not considered preflash, and I've only taken one extremely poorly exposed flash picture from the internal flash. This testing kind of got sidelined, everyone has been on a rolling flu and rsv round so we never got together. Only so much $1+ a shot I'm willing to waste in testing on my dog...
We used to buy electron microscope apertures, but it looks like they may have gotten expensive, or no one breaking down the large quantities into smaller units.
I have a pair of Nissin i60a flashes for Fuji, but they have two slave modes. I was thinking I could put a diffuser or reverse bounce card over the flash in my TL70+ to trigger them. The question really comes down to asking if anyone has some guidelines on external flash with instax film?
At...
With all this talk of paper being expensive because of the silver... Has anyone taken a look at the price of high quality inkjet paper?
Even Canon glossy is getting up there. Photo Paper Pro Platinum in US letter size is currently $17/20 sheets, so roughly that dollar per. Not a single bit of...
Remember when I said the price of silver is often manipulated for gains? These articles are generally part of this process? Having lived the past 20+ years monitoring prices since my dad has a bunch of coin based investment, the averages are low with short term spikes while rich people are...
I don't think anyone is claiming that paper or film is only worth the amount of silver present. Of course there are expenses, the coating process is pretty involved, especially since it needs to be done in the dark.
Hmmm... I guess I better call my dad, he has a bunch of coins bought as an investment and now looks like a good time to ditch them before the price drops again.
Keep in mind that the price of silver and gold is often artificially manipulated, it could be down to $20 an ounce next month (again).
Beware the auto exposure setting. Cloudy so roughly f8 at 1/250, think I opened up to f6.7 but forgot it was in auto... Heard the click/clack of a slow shutter and knew what the result was going to be.
I have a few other images from the day with my grand daughter, some were OK, some less than...
Did a scan off my multifunction printer, not great but gets the job done for now.
Exposure was good for the highlights, but could have used a bit longer to grab the shadows which mostly went to mud. Should have gone to at least f11 or I need to start rating this at film at 400. Balancing the...
Oh, it certainly is an issue. A 1/1000 speed would have been nice.
I also wish they would make some slower films with fined grain and fine developers, even just down to asa200.
Getting a little bit of time to fool with this camera... ND2 and sunny f16 mostly works, since the shutter is either 1/500 or 1/250, I probably should have used f11 to bring up the dark areas, but highlights are good. Details are better than I've seen for the most Fuji mini cameras that we have...
I'd really like to find another finder hood to either swap or use for parts, I need a couple brass rivets and one of the sliding/folding arms is in bad shape. I can probably make the rivets with brass wire and a small hammer and punches.
