This is basically what I found, too - none of my flashes, whether Pentax, Godox or Metz, match the published GN, and the differences are sometimes quite large. However, these are mostly older flashes and some have seen a lot of use, so I'm not particularly surprised. Still, it would be nice to...
Right, I don't expect miracles from unit this tiny I would only like to know if the real GN like 14 is a standard for this flash. If it's just mine that's weaker than the specification, I'd rather exchange it for a better copy
Could any of the Lightpix Q20 II owners share actual power measurement of his flash? My flash meter for ISO 100 and 5 meters shows F stop 2.8, which translates to GN 14 - instead of 20 shown in the flash specification. Is this normal or is my flash faulty?
Yes, that's right but that refers to a calibration of the meter needle, while I was writing about calibration of the meter pointer - the one with a circle at the end.
I see it, on some photos online there are meters with several marks like this however on my example it is so faint that with a naked eye I couldn't tell if it was painted intentionally or not. Now as I look at the enlarged photos I can see it is a mark - it is not a dot however!
And, as you can...
On some photos online I can see faint red marks but none on my example.
Can you please share a photo (taken from the top) showing where is the pointer in your Rolleiflex after setting the aforementioned parameters?
Rolleiflex 2.8F repair manual describes following procedure to check if an exposure meter pointer control is correctly calibrated: set the ASA index at 25, set the filter factor to 0, set the shutter speed to 1/2 of a second and diaphragm at F8. The exposure meter pointer should now be "over the...
It didn't occur to me that the lenses might have had to be matched in pairs at the factory - it seemed natural to me that all lenses (both viewing and taking) had identical focal lengths for a specific camera model. Was it really the case that some Heidosmat viewing lenses could have a slightly...
I have a 2.8F Rolleiflex with body characteristics of a late model (white face, with "ears" on advance side indicating 12/24 mechanism, without actual 12/24 switch) however with a Xenotar taking lens that according to the serial number (7083xxx) is from 1961. Is it possible my camera left...
Hi,
I am a newbie when it comes to TLRs and so I have question regarding two behaviors I observe on a Rolleiflex 2.8F that I am not sure if they are normal or not:
In order for the Bulb time to work I have to set the shutter speed to a green 60. Any green number other than 60 results in...
