Hi. It's hosted here currently: https://www.galerie-photo.com/manuels/obturateur-db-sinar.pdf Probably best to download it before it disappears.

Sinar Shutter - Norma Version - Only firing on release of cable. Charge lever assembly not releasing tension ring assembly -VIDEO / SOLVED / now FIXED

I've fixed it - at least in the short term - by flooding a small plastic washer maybe 2mm deep by 3mm wide with epoxy resin glue in the place where the roller once stood. I left it to set for 2 hours. On return it worked immediately with the Charge Level Assembly meeting the stop and...

Sinar Shutter - Norma Version - Only firing on release of cable. Charge lever assembly not releasing tension ring assembly -VIDEO / SOLVED / now FIXED

I've figured it out. The Charge Lever Assembly needs to strike a release roller at the end of its travel - this disconnects the CLA from Tension Ring Assembly and the shutter fires. On my copy the release roller - parts 2-41. 2-42 and 2-43 are missing (it looks like they've broken off) ...

    Rolleiflex SL35E Thread

Thanks. I have a Nikon F100 from the same era which is excellent. Any tips on removing the top from the Voiglander (essentially Rolleiflex SL35E)? I've seen the basic post from the old mailing list but I don't want to start twisting something that not meant to be twisted

Sinar Shutter - Norma Version - Only firing on release of cable. Charge lever assembly not releasing tension ring assembly -VIDEO / SOLVED / now FIXED

Hi all, I've picked up an old Sinar Shutter (Old Norma Version). It only fires on release of the makeshift cable I'm using to test it (a wooden skewer). I've opened it up. There's a hook on the Charge Lever Assembly that looks to me like it should reach a certain point on the Tension Ring...

    Rolleiflex SL35E Thread

Thanks so much IC racer. 20 minutes of swapping lenses, batteries and messing with the Diaphram Simulator and the camera has been working properly for maybe 10% of the time. The rest of the time it has ranged from completely dead, to showing screwy readings, to various odd behaviour. I might try...

    Rolleiflex SL35E Thread

I just bought a Voigtlander VSL 3 as untested. I understand these are essentially identical to the Rolleiflex SL35E. I put a battery in last night, and rolled a test roll of 12 shots. The meter was working and responding well and the test shots came out as they should. But I have a couple of...

Rolleiflex SL35 -- Rollei TLR Quality in a 35mm Camera

Fantastic thread with some invaluable information on maintaining these cameras, thank you. I have a working German-made one coming to me with Zeiss 35mm and 85mm and a SK 50mm, so look forward to referring this thread if I need to service anything.

RH Designs Analyser Plus - Am I using it correctly? - [Solved - Photoresistor]

Ok, another update. I emailed the RH Designs shop, but they couldn't help with the precise photoresistor value and also speculated that their new sensors would be too sensitive as they're a different design (Photo diode as confirmed below) I then emailed original designer Chris Woodhouse...

RH Designs Analyser Plus - Am I using it correctly? - [Solved - Photoresistor]

Hi all, Thanks very much for your input thus far. Some success! I dug around in a Arduino box of electrical components and sure enough there was one fresh photosresistor. No indication of the specs of it, but what the heck - I can always put the old one back and in any case it's definietly...

RH Designs Analyser Plus - Am I using it correctly? - [Solved - Photoresistor]

Hi both, I've done some test with it as a densitometer and it seems it can see a fuller range with the lens wide open. Using the stouffer wedge, with the enlarger about 29cm from the board (of course who knows how many lumens my bulb is kicking out) - see the table below. It will only work...

RH Designs Analyser Plus - Am I using it correctly? - [Solved - Photoresistor]

Thanks for the reply. I have to say - I haven't actually tested the print times by printing yet!. I can understand that paper has a smaller dynamic range than film, but I would have thought that a tool like this would 'read' a full range negative and then suggest a correct output, rather than...

RH Designs Analyser Plus - Am I using it correctly? - [Solved - Photoresistor]

Hi all, I've just bought a used RH Designs Analyser Plus. (I've enjoyed their stopclock pro and thought I'd give it a go). It was off ebay and sold as untested but having been working in a darkroom a couple of years ago. I've reset all the paper channels, but my problem is in the measuring so...
