I use a Panasonic S5RxII for neg scanning. With pixel-shift it beats everything else I have tried. I tried using a Nikkor 60mm macro lens which was good, but APO enlarging lenses were better.

Maybe the price too .....

I contacted a friend of EM for the scoop. Seems after having a kid EM has basically fallen off the planet. He is not responding to anyone. Total silence. I hope there wasn't a tragedy in EM's family. Eric

I shot with one of those for many years! Great little camera and light too. Used it for backpacking.

I've written for both and was working on some new article ideas. Just wondering if I should spread the articles between them or forget about Emulsion. That would be sad. eric

If you value the friendship with the person requesting you do this shoot, practice with the camera and post processing for at least a week ahead of time.

I'm very sorry, but in my 60+ years of photography I have come to the conclusion that the Zone System is a big waste of time. Especially with todays films and papers. Eric

No one has the authority to say a composition is "wrong". Period. It may not work for them but hey that's why they make chocolate and vanilla ice cream.There are those that are rule followers. Rules mean everything to them, it keeps them in the correct lane and provides them with a "tribe"...
