    Appreciation of Lee Friedlander

I have always been a Friedlander fan, and his work has often influenced my own. The attached is just one example from a photo show and subsequent book I did called Café Life. I’m sure Lee F was looking over my shoulder.

Is upgrading to a faster Rolleiflex a good decision? Or keep it the way it is?

My camera kit includes a ‘Flex EIII 3.5 which I have often thought about “upgrading” to a 2.8. Inevitably I talk myself out of that because I have never been able to convince myself there is a good reason to do so.

Longtime inactive member. Still alive and still shooting!

Thank you, Sean. The big Peter Gowland camera under your arm in your photo brought a smile to my face remembering Gowland’s pictorial contributions to Playboy and my coming of age back in the early-mid 1960s.

Want to Buy WTB focusing back and plate holders for 9x12 Ica/Zeiss Ideal 250/7

After all these years I should no better to sweat the details and not get seduced by camera porn pix, but... I just purchased another 9x12 camera--this one a Z.I. Ideal 9x12--and then realized that it will come with what looks like a film [ack adapter, but has no focusing back or plate holders...

Want to Buy Welta 9x12 plate holders and sheaths for 3-1/4x4-1/4 film

I'd like to update this old post, because I'm still searching for more plateholders for my Welta. The correct ones are approximately 10x14 cm. with a thin single flange along the lateral sides, but no flange on the bottom. They don't have a registering "lip."

Updating an old post, because I'm still looking for more holders. The plate holders I am searching for ar approximately 10x140 cm in size. They have a thin single flange on the long lateral sides, and none on the bottom of the holder. I suspect they are a fairly common type, but I don't know...

Want to Buy WTB film holders for Welta 9x12 Watson camera

Ian, I do know that my Ica and Zeiss hollders do not fit---they are too thick. I have three Welta holders which slide in very nicely, but they don't seem to slide all the way to the bottom of the camera. The flocking on the camera and on the holders do line up with each other, but it looks to me...

Want to Buy Welta 9x12 plate holders and sheaths for 3-1/4x4-1/4 film

I'm constantly on the lookout for good condition 9x12 plate holders for my Welta plate camera (Watson). I also am seeking a nice stash of sheaths, Kodak or similar, for using film in 9x12 holders. danmouer@fastmail.fm
